I've got nothing against Simon Parker or the T&A.

I didn't really have anything against them during the Rahic era, or when we were getting relegated.

I'm not totally sure what people expect - it's a football club, not the House of Commons, there isn't really a vast array of opinions coming out of the club.

How do you know Sutton is no better than Devine, have you actually seen him play and if so how would you remember, i have trouble remembering our players performances, other than Akpan was total rubbish most weeks and crap the rest. Lets actually see the lad play before we write him off, Arron Mclean and John MCginley both cost big money and had bigger reputations, both were dross after pulling on the city shirt.

 

Can't believe R O'D is even taking stick for us finishing 9th last season. Keepers in L1/2 are down there for a reason more often than not so I get he isn't always going to be perfect but..... did some OPTA digging.

City conceded 40 goals in L2 last season, that's the 6th lowest, with O'Donnell in goal for 34 of those goals in 33 games, other 6 coming in McGees 4 games. Plymouth & Swindon who both conceded 39 went up, Northampton with 40 also.

Looking at Keeper stats, of the starting goalkeepers, he was 6th overall in save percentages saving 72% of his 112 shots on target, best was 79% at Crawley, only keepers in the top 10 who were called to action more than him were Palmer at Plymouth saving 110 shots from 146 attempts at 75% and Cornell at Northampton saving 90 shots from 120 at 75%.

At the other end, we were 13th in total shots at 454. We were 22nd in shots on target conversion with 125 on target from 454 attempts. We were 16th in goals scored with 44. Like I said earlier, 4th tier keepers aren't always everyones cup of tea and will have some issues, but the other end of the pitch is the bigger reason we finished 9th.

Three seasons in League One in a row where he hit double figures in all competitions prior to last season. Only 25. Pacy, which is different to what we have.

If we sign Hiwula, that would represent a good signing in my view.

 

On the face of it, this seems quite an odd stance to take.

Any player signed now would only count as an average figure towards the salary cap, and if any of the intended targets fail to materialize we are scraping around chasing whats left. Again we are putting the eggs in one basket so to speak like various other windows.

There are literally one hundreds even thousands of players we can sign and get in yet we are focussing on one's who arent available it seems.

Just seen Vaughan posted about Leighton Baines on his twitter. Must be of to Everton. Think that's how this works anyway.

 

I find it appalling myself, they’ve just made 20+ staff redundant and Arsenal over 50 yesy they’re able to sign players on far more money who probably of already earned far more than the people made redundant will make in their lives. Working men’s sport my arse.

 

Burke was sent on the basis that PP needed CB cover and he worked his contacts, rang his mate Terry Westley @ WHU, and Burke arrived on a youth loan. Westley wanted some game time for Cullen, rang PP and even though he'd never seen him took him for half a season. I'm not sure that the decisions were made on football style TBH
, more of two mates helping each other.
