A RB is an absolute must, and as you rightly say a tough tackilng CM. Any injury to Cooke and we're down to the bare bones straight away in midfield, its where we were found out last season and the season before, as we offered nothing in that area. I'm not sure if Pritchard is really up to the job on the left, id like to see us get a natural left sided player with pace, and again some more youth and pace up front considering our forward line has a combined age of 469 and a turning circle and pace of a large oil tanker. Maybe young Prem/Champ loans, or dip into the best of non league for most of those areas, all except CM where I think we should be looking at proven quality

    You said, '
    '

    I replied, '
I was making reference to future signings.

That your comment about 'clubs not being back', is not correct about Scotland.

You then mention a player we have signed, who was on Wolverhampton Wanders books and born in Preston, neither of which are in Scotland. He may well be of Scottish heritage and elect to play for Scotland, but he certainly is not a player from a Scottish club.

    It seems you are into:

Anyone would think that it's just a myth there were over 800 footballers released from uk clubs this close season.

If he wants to play a passing game and if he has seen the shambles of our defence over the last 2 seasons then RB is probably a number 1 priority because competent defenders who are comfortable passing the ball aren't easy to find!

I wonder if we might be looking at Demeaco Duhaney from the dog botherers. I have no evidence for this, just a hunch that Stuart will be looking at local teams higher up in the league. Duhaney is a 21 year old right back, he made six appearances in the Championship for Huddersfield last season and two appearances in the FA Cup, I believe he also spent some time on loan at Boston United.

You missed something in your response.

...the latest of which is in his third go round with the club and in over 10 years of management at 4 clubs has had only small bits and pieces of success.

Now that tells the story better.

Not sure 5 managers in 4 years would make a difference, any club loaning their kids out would do their homework on the present manager and make the decision on what that manager could do with regards helping develope said player .
I would think Stuart McCall has a good name within football circles because he plays the game the right way as many Premier/Championship clubs would like their player to play.

This isn't something new to just Bradford. Lots of clubs in league one and two have changed their style of football. This is why Hopkin and Bowyer didn't work out. Their old style, old school football is getting left behind. Hoof ball is being replaced and coached with a high pressing, counter attack style.
Bradford certainly won't be top of the list of clubs that other clubs will want to send their players.

As far as L2 is concerned, we won't be far down that list. Sure, there are a number of teams with stronger squads than us but in footballing terms, I'm sure Stuart has a good reputation among other managers.

So you're agreeing with me .

I thought we got both Burke & Cullen whilst Phil Parkinson was the manager and many said all he played was hoof football, which is a ridiculous claim.

While im not disagreeing there are a few managers in our division who will be well respected and have a number of good contacts within the game. Harry Kewel, David Dunn, Michael Fylnn, Ian Holloway are a couple from the top of my head.
Stuart hasnt done anything really in management to bump him to the top of that list.

Like a lot of our fans you are clearly still living about 4-5 years ago.. We are a shadow of the club that had Burke and Cullen here. Its about time you realised where we are rather than where we were.

Burke was sent on the basis that PP needed CB cover and he worked his contacts, rang his mate Terry Westley @ WHU, and Burke arrived on a youth loan. Westley wanted some game time for Cullen, rang PP and even though he'd never seen him took him for half a season. I'm not sure that the decisions were made on football style TBH
, more of two mates helping each other.
