    Just 2 weeks of the window left - lets hope Gent and Hughes have clearly seen what needs upgrading and Sparks continual promise of additional quality is not thrown back in the faces of 15000 season ticket holders.
    Fair to say an average to ok start to the season but clear we need a bit more to be up there. Also had well over 1000 away fans at each of 4 games in August (inc Morecombe), I know we have some numpties amongst them but great effort City fans - I don't have chance to see as many live games these days but I really hope you are rewarded this season

    The squad size is utterly baffling. I was thinking if the surplus players wages last season and the surplus players wages this season were added together we could probably buy 2 very decent players for decent fees.

    If we had conceded so many goals from set pieces, maybe we need to go back to the drawing board. Dump zonal marking and start practicing defending against set pieces on the training pitch.

    The budget will be a competitive one but with a smaller Squad money won’t be wasted on footballers who never play

    If we're choosing between East and Gillead I'd take East all day long. I still feel either one should be back up, at best but at least East looks like a footballer, has composure and will attempt the pass rather rather turning and playing backwards or square 99 times out of 100.

    If we'd been promoted instead of somebody else, I'd have welcomed him back to our squad.

    He's a good footballer, not a one hit wonder and still very young. I doubt he'd become a PL player with Palace but he's capable with the right level of coaching of developing into a Championship player in time.

    Out of the blue? And long may it stay that way.

    According to at least one itk fan on here, we were due to sign Banks, Crichlow and Agyei last week. That short list has now been extended by Sharp having been signed yesterday! It's the same names which are being repeated and not one suggestion has come to fruition nor even supported by any hard facts. They're largely fantasists. The only new player we've recruited was identified in advance and before his joining by precisely .... nobody and that's despite all of these itk's having reliable sources with the club or elsewhere to know about Banks etc beforehand.

    We'll have to get used to ignoring the clarion calls of the itk's who know nothing and wait for the club to sound the klaxon instead.

    Agents played a blinder. He'll have been talking to Gills, couldn't agree on a number. Take City's offer up, leak it to the press to show Gillingham he's off to a rival, they end up blinking and giving him a daft amount.

    Confirmed by Parker that City offered him more than what he was on at Swindon and he was a top earner at Swindon. So Gillingham must have offered a good L1 level wage.

    In respect of Williams, if he doesn't really want to be at City, then I am glad he didn't sign and then start to find reasons for not playing, such as health, family/personal reasons, 'injury', travel issues etc.

    He has only made 218 appearances at the age of 29 and although he has had a good run over the last two seasons, then his luck may well run out. He is clearly prone to injury.

    His goal return over his career is 21. That works out about 1 in 10 games. Over a season that could be 4/5. Decent, but not stunning.

    Lets move on!

    Someone questioning his character because he jumped ship yesterday from one club to another.

    He hasn’t signed for them yet , one suspects he’s playing two clubs off each other for money and could change his mind again.

    Stevenage played in front of 5,000 last season if they were lucky. Ask their players where they'd rather have played last season. Crowd numbers mean nothing, a successful season is what a player remembers.

    Pros - big lad, experienced, good footballer, good pedigree

    Cons - age, pace

    If he was 27 and had pace he wouldnt be playing L2 football. As simple as that.

    Don’t know what the love in is with Dan Agyei, he played well against us at Crewe, but against an old static defence. We made him look better than he was. Don’t forget he didn’t manage a full game probably played up and his best game against a top team like City.
    Don’t think we should be gagging our hat on a signing like this. Is so all well and good, if not plenty more good players out there.
