    Current Squad 05/06/23

    If they are offering Rowe, Pointon and Youmbi deals then they have to be part of the 1st team squad next year and offering back up. Hopefully this is the case as it lends itself to the 'leaner squad' comment Sparks made.

    Hopefully we beef this squad up with quality rather than a scatter gun of shite like Nevers, Costelleo and Dion.

    Ok chaps, we (Carlisle) have been linked with Scott Banks, I know this was the guy that left Huntington for dead in the play off game at Brunton Park and Hughes was criticised for taking him off when he did, but overall is he decent, brilliant, a 'one hit wonder' or basically Tosh?
    Thoughts please?

    Presume on loan?

    Vast majority of Bantams fans would love him back here I would imagine, however, league 1 is the natural progression for him if Palace want to loan him out again.

    Skillful winger who played on the right for us and loves cutting in on his favoured left foot to try and get a shot in.

    Scottish as well, so nearer to his family

    If we'd been promoted instead of somebody else, I'd have welcomed him back to our squad.

    He's a good footballer, not a one hit wonder and still very young. I doubt he'd become a PL player with Palace but he's capable with the right level of coaching of developing into a Championship player in time.

    Rumour over the weekend that Peterborough were in talks with Banks to sign on a free. His contract is up with Palace in a few weeks.

    The Twitter account that made up the Banks rumour has a glittering 64 tweets to it's name, very hard hitting journalist. Cant imagine they even bother to google and check if Banks' deal was up or not. Palace still yet to release a retained list, so no clue if they plan on opening talks with Banks back up again or not.

    The BCAFC hashtag is the absolute pits. Ridiculous rumors, our own fans humiliating our club on a daily basis with their obsession over attendances and rival fans from tinpot clubs like Stevenage and Colchester mocking us.

    Positives: Pace, quick tricky feet, a decent shot, lots of enthusiasm, can perform on a regular basis, seems to be a good personality, still young and learning.
    Negatives: Could track back better, not particularly a header of the ball, can drift out of the game, query stamina?
    Would I have him back. Yes for sure.
    From your perspective, I thought that some Carlisle folk were not very keen on Scots?

    We love the Scot's, we have too, there's bloody loads of them here.
    As a matter of interest out of the five of us that go to games on a regular basis, I'm the only one that is a fully fledged Englishman, one of the lads was born in England but grew up in Scotland and so even he is not sure what he is?? LOL
    The other 3 are all 100% haggis munchers.
