    Someone who *leaked* Ash Taylor signing at 3pm this afternoon has just tweeted to say that Kevin McDonald will be the next player in after rejecting a new deal at Exeter. Another veteran then.

    We lacked height at the back he provides it along with extensive experience not the exciting signing people were hoping for we will have to wait a bit longer for them but he could turn out to be a useful acquisition. Captain at Kilmarnock as well so may have leadership qualities

    I agree Park. We don't need a flair central defensive player we want someone who know how to defend and isn't afraid to get stuck in. He's also vocal, did a lot of media at Kilmarnock so he's not afraid of fronting up. He could be a shrewd signing.

    McDonald has had a good career most notably at Wolves. If he has fully recovered from his kidney surgery he would be a very good addition in my opinion. Quite a unit in midfield too

    Once again let’s not right anyone off. Plus he is tall and we looked such a small side last season. We need leaders, determination and those that can inspire when the going gets tough. Plus he gives another option to change the formation.

    The more I think about it I can see 352 emerging.

    Two quality midfielders will be critical though. We need to push the boat out also for right and left wingbacks and someone with guile and pace to play with Cookie. Options and fluidity are crucial.
    5 quality players in all I think?

    A Rolls Royce of a player. You can see why he’s played so many Premier League games as his touch and vision is superb. He had to take a couple of years out of the game due to a kidney issue, otherwise he’d be nowhere near league 1 or 2.

    We offered him a deal but I think the fact he has a young family in Scotland means we don’t have much chance of him signing. At least Bradford is that much closer to home for him.
