Flipping heck we do need a flair players who' are mobile it's precisely what we were missing last season. I'm not knocking Taylor know nothing about him but we were so static and predictable last season it was unreal.

 

Good read up on McDonald here, nearly signed for us after last Christmas but didn't due to some sort of mixup.

Well his career has been in the Championship and top flight. Says alot about him as a footballer. Could be a real asset.

Gilly isnt everyones cup of tea. A no thrills player. But the sheer disrespect he gets from some our fans is abhorrent. Youd think he was a lazy, mercenary stealing a living.

He is anything but that.

Mcdonald is absolutely a quality player if we can get him in and he's free from injury I'd be so excited to see him in a city shirt!

You've missed the word "defensive" in my post. We don't need flair DEFENDERS. Wrote it in capitals this time.

We need strong, solid defenders who know how to defend. We could easily have signed Piergianni last season and everyone would have slagged that off - too slow, old etc but he was cracking for Stevenage and scored goals too. Let's worry about the midfielders and attackers. The defence wasn't our problem last season; set pieces aside.

 

Im in love! Spot on . A L2 James Milner type player, where has HE gone…a fellow Prem club and a good footballing one too.

All clubs need players like Gilly and Milner.

Kevin McDonald would defo be a upgrade on Clayton as I see it, played at much higher level and he’s only playing at league 1 level due to his illness

 

Moaning about the clib, threatening to tear up season ticket yet called themselves loyalbantam......that was his rant.

Whatever it was, I presume this is why we then turned to Clayton with the short term deal, believing the move for McDonald could be resurrected this summer

The capitals helped thanks your right solid defence is key in L2 just read flair players and thought hold on a min!!! We need it in in the middle of the pitch we were far too predictable in my humble opinion. If we had 2 (or 1 if Walker had stayed injury free) genuine quality attacking midfield players last season we would have gone up.

 

Its funny because when a player signs you see rafts of comments 'just give it your all' etc.

Gilliead hardest working player in that team but has the biggest target on his back.
