Problem with that is I really don't want to watch another 2 seasons of league 2 football. We need to go up next season. I'm having to think hard about renewing next season, never mind the one after.

Get a grip man. We have picked up 13 points in 15 matches. That indicates the poor run is more than 5 matches. Stuart got sacked for the same run from one more match and the chances of us exceeding his 13 points at Morecambe are lower than my chance of having a threesome with Nigella & Katya Adler.

Depends on your point of view. Some blame TMAC for going for glory, but that would have only equalised and theres nothing to say they wouldnt have come back in extra time. I blame Stuart for playing it too safe. Millwall were blowing out of their collective ars@s at halftime and there was only one winner if he had gone for it.

For all the words Sparks says, it feels like a club dying a slow death.

I always said that the end of the season was the time to judge.

We shouldn't be keeping these 2 at the helm for next season. Not a chance. There are far, far better options.

The fickleness of our fans amazes me. Everyone was bashing one off about them a few weeks ago. Why are they bad managers all of a sudden?

Personally I’d have gone for Hurst to begin with, but now they’re in we need to see next season through and build a great squad in the summer. They have had half a season in the middle of a pandemic FFS.

You could even argue that we faired better than most, given that we never had any players unavailable for selection due to them having to self isolate.

Never a good time to sack someone and today would be perfect.

Best of luck to them both, was never a massive fan and people can go back to my comments even on the winning run it was never about hindsight but could they improve the team which other than making us tight they didn’t do in my opinion. We were in danger though and they kept us up so I hope they stay at the club learn from the experience, and have success in their future.

Well, that's that taken care of.

I do care that T&S stay, as they've technically succeeded in terms of their brief. Why let people who achieve leave the club? If they leave it's a real shame.

Sparks got it wrong for the second time in a season by offering overly long contracts, and is getting a reputation now as a hatchet man - someone who changes his mind depending on which way the wind blows.

Not a good look for the young CEO, but I suppose he might not care - maybe that's his M.O., offer coaches security one second then sack them the next. Some clubs operate like that. But I don't want to hear anything from him about long term planning, because there hasn't been any in terms of the managerial role.

The only correct choice of manager now is surely Richie Wellens. He can pick up where T&S have left off, down to continuing their work in regards to formation and tactics. T&S may have inadvertently done a really solid job laying down the foundations for Wellens' tenure.

    Wouldn't that be something?

Whilst I’m slightly disappointed in how this has been played out, I don’t agree we are rudderless and a shambles. Sparks clearly has a vision of where he wants us to be and how we could get there and is prepared to make tough decisions. Only he will know if they are the right ones. BUT one thing we are lacking, as has been the case for many years, is stability. But is there any such thing as stability in football these days?

Also saying some damning things about fitness levels and injuries and saying that will be addressed before next season.

I think well done to Sparks for being so decisive and also for recognising the turn around they gave us. I have been bored witless as much as any City fan over past four or five weeks, but we were only outside bottom 2 of league on goal difference when they stepped in and no-one had a clue where next point was coming from. I respect them for stepping up to that challenge. However, something was clearly amiss toward the end and there wasn’t a realistic option to keep them on. So just getting on with it was the right move, I believe. I am sure they have learned masses and hopefully with a bit of distance they will acknowledge that and accept it was time for someone else to take the reins. First step of a pivotal Summer that is vital for the future of the club.
