T&S..... sacked

Never a good time to sack someone and today would be perfect.

 

The anniversary isn’t till tomorrow and has no relevance to who’s manager of the club . I can understand maybe not tomorrow but see no issue with today

 

The anniversary is tomorrow. Sacking today does not effect that.

 

Let's be honest, everyone is expecting an announcement of some kind, whether that be Sparks confirming he backs T&S to take us forward or that someone new will be taking over. I'd rather that announcement is made and cleared up today rather than discussion about it overshadow the anniversary tomorrow.

 

It wouldn't be a sacking really. I'd imagine they'll go back to their previous roles - they'll take with them good experience of the last 6 months, they'll have earned a few quid in the process and what we've done over the last 6 months will at least show that we're prepared to look from within to give people opportunities. They'd be disappointed, but there's a positive angle all round.

 

Wonder who'll be making the decisions on the new contracts? New manager won't see players in time, these two's opinions maybe skewed (or worse if they take their bat and ball home) the new manager may decide to dispense of the head of recruitment (or not agree, so is it wise to let him choose). Yet again we have big decisions to make

 

Walsall have sacked their manager. Binned him off after 3 months.

Meanwhile at Bradford City...dancing still!

 

Calm down Doris . This isn’t a straightforward sacking if they remain employees .

 

I’ll have to respectfully disagree with those who don’t agree, regardless of it being tomorrow the club should be acting with dignity over the coming days, sackings or demotions can wait or at least the announcements can. If it’s already done talk with perspective managers and make an announcement either at the end of the week or next week then announce the season tickets.

 

Well it is. If they don't want to go back to their old roles then they will be sacked. If we were foolish not to put something in their contract about this then that's our mistake.

 

I wish Rupp would come out and make a statement.

 

Why he knows nothing about running a football club, the only statement that would be useful from him is I’ve had an offer on the club and accepted thank you and good bye.

The problem is if the decision has been made and they have been informed we are delaying signing a new manager. If a new manager has been signed but we are delaying the announcement then be prepared for a leak somewhere along the lines and that leaves us looking like amateurs

 

Plus they will still be getting first team manager wages for the next 12 months whilst doing their old job. Easy money for them

 

And could really help bridge the gap between youth and first team.

 

Who's available then? There's been quite a few sackings recently. Can't say I'm really up to speed. Anyone good out there? Won't be long until the bookies start putting up the usual suspects. I might put a quid on Benito Carbone.

 

I’d assume with T&S being long term members of the club, that they’d want to be at the anniversary service. If they are being replaced then 48 hours isn’t long to wait. The focus should be on the service and not on the new guy or T&S.

 

If we were bold we would go for ryan lowe. Richie wellens is available but I genuinely don't think he suit the club at this moment in time. Both Paul Lambert or kenny jackett are available too.

in terms of available quality managers there are very few i can think of.

 

The service is online for anyone to watch so am sure they can if they wish . There going back to manage the kids there not been hung drawn and quartered , there still part of the club . I’ve no idea what you mean by the club should be focusing on the anniversary. The two are not connected in anyway . The season has ended the decision needs to be made
