Imagine a club that would let a manager sell the club Captain and reshape the team before sacking him when the window shuts, no team would be stupid enough to do that would they? Oh wait it’s 2020 all over again, Sparks really has taken on board his mentors teachings…

    Of course it is.

Rhodes was the steady custodian we needed after an utter disaster that was Richmond. Look, I'm still not prepared to knock him for that. He's the risk averse general that got us nowhere, but actually nowhere was better than oblivion. It's since become a meme: "at least we're not Bury" - but for a while, that was a legit!

    Now it's just pathetic.

Rhodes has convinced Rupp that he doesn't even need to bother. He's shown him that sustainable can be effective, so what does Rupp care now? The club can tick over, it won't lose him any money, he can hire a succession of CEO's and managers, who cares, one day it will click - that's what happened under Rhodes, what else can Rhodes teach?

Except Rhodes is wrong, it matters now, we're not a club that was recently in admin twice, we're not a fan base that will accept absolute risk averse nonsense simply because the status quo will placate a fearful fan base, the fan base ISN'T fearful of going out of business, nor should it be!

We're a club with an average attendance of 14,000 people PLUS. We're losing to teams that bring 140 fans to Valley Parade.

    F*** off.

Rupp, you have no idea what you're doing. Rhodes, you shouldn't have taken office back, you were a worst case scenario CEO, go away. We don't need you, this isn't your time. Sparks, you've no idea, mate, and it's painful. Your schooling was the worst.

Time to clear the decks, no ifs, buts, maybes.

Folk that want Adams out, take him, nobody cares anymore. But that won't protect the idiots at the top.

    GET OUT OF OUR CLUB.

    We're not scared anymore.

Trying to drum up interest because the pressure is on and Rupp isn’t going to put his hand in his pocket.

    Mess!

It won't, because too many of our fans are willing to embrace mediocrity and fully buy into the whole 'just be grateful we have a club' ethos.

Olly Crankshaw. Young, goalscoring winger, hungry to take his career forward and looks ready to step up a league.

We must be the only fans that pine after ex players who go onto have a new club and do reasonably well but have made no impact here! Move on

Better than the best chance creator in the league? Maybe what we need are strikers to actually take the chances hes creating.

Owing one of the owners company's £1billion is silly and goes to show the madness that is the football world.
Thats more than two years of their turnover. He is not going to as he is a crackpot, but what would happen if he wanted his money back, he isn't going to walk away from it. The premier league ,most of the players and most of the clubs owners are all about greed, the European super league a fine example. These guys are destroying football .
The game is so far away from when i was a kid , i hardly recognise it.
I understand things have to change and adapt, but i think it's gone too far.

Cooke, the most creative player in the league and Watt a million pound player according to several people on here. How come we hardly score then, and frequently get overrun in midfield? And how come both have been left out of the side for spells this season? People are seeing very different players to me, and, apparently, our manager too.

To put it bluntly, we have to score more goals than we have done. We have to convert draws into wins to have any chance of becoming promotion contenders. I have a lot of time for Cook and Angol as a striking pair ... but I doubt we can rely on both of them to go uninjured for the remainder of the season. It's not going to happen.

A third striker of a similar calibre is going to be a necessity since it's clear that neither can play a lone striker role and using either Lavary or Robinson as a replacement just doesn't cut the mustard. Promotion is still an outside chance but certainly won't be helped by continuing to rely solely on Cook and Angol as our primary strikers. It's time for Rupp to help make that happen.

How do the wingers get the ball if you go long ball? Just because Parky went hoof ball 4-4-2 doesn't mean you can't play the ball on the deck with wingers.

Think finding players of real quality in this window will be the problem. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a mix of youth loans or the odd out of favour player from the league above.

Listened the the latest Peterborough chairman podcast, he was saying they had 2 deals cancelled and 1 more looking like it's off unless the selling team can get a man they are after due to the new rules around needing a minimum squad incase of covid outbreaks. Think this will just trickle down the leagues and cause issues with deals all over the shop. Probably waiting for the Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelseas of the pyramid with 50+ pros on their booked to start loaning down to your lower champ clubs like P'boro/Hull/Birmingham so they can try offload their talent that cant hack it in the champ down to leagues one and two.

Dont think it will be as bad as some were making out last week, but deals will naturally take longer this window as selling/loaning clubs need to look after themselves.

Like when people on here used to clamour for Colin Doyle (most clean sheets in the league the season before) to be replaced by Sattlemeir just because he once saved a Charlie Adams shot from 50+ yards out

RB, ST, CB and Keeper are all must haves. So is a dominant midfielder. We'll be lucky to get one, with any degree of quality.

If you think only a points deduction puts us in danger of relegation then you should think again.

This current sleep walking state has us in real peril and we're just as likely to go down as we are to leave the division in the opposite direction.

Year on year regression and you STILL think we're safe as houses because we aren't in debt?
