Edin’s been gone three years. When he left Stefan promised that the people of Bradford deserve much, much better. In that time we have gone from 24th in L1, finished 9th and 15th in L2 and now sit 16th. Luckily the Crawley v Bristol Rovers game tomorrow is off or we would be 17th tomorrow night.

Yes Stefan, we do deserve better.

Thankfully our lad Hunter from WAGMI raised $2million with Shaq so I think we're in good stead for this window! Especially since they said they're looking to splash the cash to get us promoted :snigger:

    Oh...

Maybe Parker and Yorkshire Post can summon Custodian Captor Rupp from the shadows again. Has he said anything about spending in January or is he more focused on this "legal action"? I'm sure the higher ups have us in for a treat this coming month - maybe we'll sell Vernam for five figures just like we did Crankshaw, it should cover the 30k Rupp's going to take out for the great level of consultancy he's offered us this month. Personally, I'm looking forward to another piss poor player from a struggling L2 side to join us, or maybe even a benchwarmer from a midtable team if we're lucky. I'm sure the strategy of signing shit injury prone players and expecting them to turn good just because they play for the best supported side in the lower divisions will work this time.

A pal from work who's a Sheff Weds fan text me earlier saying we might be in for Korede Adedoyin, 21 year old winger. Had been at Everton his career so far, released in the summer and signed a one year deal at Sheff.

Struggling to get a game, played 50 minutes in 3 sub appearances in the PJT this season and scored a goal. Said they have pitched him out to local L2 clubs for a loan. Had a good record at Evertons youth side with 26 goals in 51 games. He's been a regular in their U23 side this season.

Every signing from now on will be judged on Wagmi Utd potential buys. I hope there are some rabbits ready to be pulled out of hats or the pressure for change will reach levels we've not seen at VP for many years.

Are you part of the Wagmi consortium. If not, not sure what your agenda is since joining the board recently.

Wagmi, Richard Dunn, neither are happening, move on.

It won't, because too many of our fans are willing to embrace mediocrity and fully buy into the whole 'just be grateful we have a club' ethos.

Be careful what you wish for is a phrase I've seen bandied around. Well since our current owner has been at the club we've had a Wembley playoff and constant regression since. Funny, I never wished for that as a Bradford City fan. To add balance I was talking to a Huddersfield fan the other day and some of their fans are a bit unhappy at the moment. They were 8th in the championship at the time. Made me laugh when he said he always feels better after talking to the Bradford fans he knows as things are put in perspective.

Time for all at the club to get a grip on our situation and produce the goods.Any more missed opportunities will disconnect more supporters.

There isn’t one city fan who doesn’t want this club to be successful (ambition) but there are some when things go wrong find other things to do and would have no difficulty latching on to something else if the club wasn’t there.
We all want success but not in a reckless way we need to do much better with the resources we do have before spending money we don’t

Wanting it to be successful, isn't ambition. Ambition is the action you take in order to demonstrate how much you're prepared to make success happen.

I feel the club are in the sticky here. From the many apathetic types to the totally unrealistic types, January is going to be interesting for the club.
That said, we aren't made of money, so let's not be stupid in January, in a season that is quickly fading away but bring in players to improve in key positions, to take us forward. Move on or ease out others.

I remember saying at the beginning of the season that the connect between club and fans was very much in a positive position. Its neutral, Imo, now and is going to take a new rebuild but with some suspicion and doubt, amongst some.

I feel I am fortunate that I gave up on the season weeks back, so January is no big to me.

Yes and overspending can be regarded as reckless ambition

Its not either or though Park. Do we need to use the resources we have wisely? Of course. Would increasing those resources improve our chances? Of course.

The bumbling mess we make of being in this league is an embarrassment.

I once worked for a company who had an aim to increase sales by 50% over 8 years. That was it, no plan on how to get there, no strategy, no money for investment, recruitment or acquisitions, just a target. Increase sales. The target and the things surrounding it were nothing more than a wish list.

That’s what City feels like, Stefan, Derek and Ryan or whoever the CEO is wishing we were in League 1, wishing we could increase revenue or wishing he could get his money back. Nothing feels joined up. Ryan seems to be doing the right things but these are the basics and aren’t feeding through to the football.

Investment in the lad at Chesterfield and I’m hindsight Stockton in the summer instead of Lavery and Robinson, we’re in the automatics. And a good chance of making a profit on them. But no, everything, literally everything is done on the cheap. There’s a difference in between spending recklessly and spending wisely. City in my opinion do the former whether they have a large or small budget because there is nobody bringing everyone together to work for a common goal following a sound strategy.

And half the fan base don’t mind this because it could be worse, we could be Bury/Macclesfield or whoever. They omit that we could be a Lincoln/Wycombe/Accrington punching above or weight if we did things properly. But we don’t because there is a fear of failure hardwired through the club and its fan base since the administrations 17-20 years ago.

    You're wasting your breath.

Park is the very definition of the "just happy to have a club" fan you described.
