City gent he always seem to give the ball away .... maybe there is a player there but I cant see it.... But if premiership scouts can good luck they can have him. He wont get us out of the division I dont' think.... but any money from him may?

 

Swansea McBurnie type deal sounds plausible. 6 figures plus add-ons/sell-ons. Naff all for them if they think they can make a better player out of him and statistically he posts some good numbers which I imagine higher clubs will look at ahead of physically scouting.
Selling a Watt could be reinvested in a couple of good players at this level or if we have more ambition a proven player and one or two prospects

 

Cooke, the most creative player in the league and Watt a million pound player according to several people on here. How come we hardly score then, and frequently get overrun in midfield? And how come both have been left out of the side for spells this season? People are seeing very different players to me, and, apparently, our manager too.

Ok, are Norwich above us and the other clubs interested in Watt?
Are Bolton above us who are interested in Cooke?

Have you ever thought the manager/the club are leaving them out so they don't get injured?

As for our manager. Is he a PL manager or a div 1 manager? No! At Bradford City so far he's an utter shite manager! So please don't use Adams as any kind of judgement yet!

I would be concerned if nothing is done by mid January because after that we are in to panic mode and we may end up with either a Robinson and Lavery we cannot be messing about this time we have known for months that we need players in the scouting has been in place for months ............. we either find out now if players are wanting to come if not move on to the next target .......... we wait around then we may end up with nothing or a load of dross yet again

Hope you don't mind me changing the subject to someone we are supposedly trying to bring in. A note from a Darlo fan on another website;
I'd rate Charman above both Scott and Langstaff. They've excelled in a very good Gateshead team, whose system suits them down to the ground. Charman has had to do most of the work for himself, as well as put in a shift defensively. Really think he could be a gem for someone willing to take the punt.
In another post, the fan says he doesn't suit the long ball game.

 

Nine clubs already signed players so 10% of the clubs are ahead of the game and ready. I can't see us signing anyone until mid January at least because our senior management haven't got the foresight needed to be ready.

Well the reason we haven't scored goals is NOT because we can't create chances.

We know we create chances, and we also know that Cooke creates more than anyone else in the division - whatever the quality of those chances is.

We know that with Watt and Cooke in the team, we've always given our forwards opportunities to score - and THIS is the problem, not the midfield. Without Cooke, we're next to hopeless. Without Cooke or Angol, we actually ARE hopeless. And how many games have we had both Cooke AND Angol? 4? 5?

Gilly doesn't score. Vernam can't shoot. Lavery isn't good enough. Robinson has out-performed all three in terms of efficiency, but 4 goals in 18 appearances is nothing to write home about.

I've said a few times on this forum, but selling Watt and/or Cooke and bringing in the best striker in League Two would be self-defeating. We did that with Eoin Doyle and gave him nothing to convert - so he didn't score...

 

I wonder if Wolves have got a sell on clause for Watt? If they do, then that’s the excuses lined up already.

 

Whilst he’s our best technical player going forward, he’s far from it from a defensive point of view when on the back foot..and he doesn’t like being pressed. I like him BUT he hasn’t torn up many trees so far and he’s been in and out as often as Boris Johnson?
