We didn't lose the club. As far as i see no club has ever been lost due to admin although i am open to suggestions.Even clubs like Wimbledon come back, they're above us now. Richmond was a gambler but also the best visionary this club has ever had and will ever have. Went bat shit crazy a the end but more a victim of his own success. Easy to get carried away when playing with the big boys.

 

I agree, its not nice. Wouldn't make me change my mind though. The memories Richmond brought will live with me forever, memories of bumming round the khazi league won't.

Good luck with that, The season usually starts first week in August, Talk about after the horse has bolted, It needs to be in the summer feeding on and building expectation for the new season, Do we have no one with any commercial nous at the club?

 

Agree Rogered Headingley is good I was really impressed by the the facility’s in the stand behind the sticks when it first opened. I have been to the cricket to a few cooperate events love it.

To expand on this, no disrespect to the staff at Valley Parade but most of them have not worked at a higher level sporting club or facility. Maybe take them on a fact finding trip to a bigger organisation, like they do with coaching staff at various clubs, where they can gain experience of how other clubs run their off field activities.

I have seen a number of posts relating to food/drink on recently.

The Supporters Board will be meeting next on the 1st July.

One of the items of discussion is the new kiosk catering. CSG will be taking over the contract next year, and a representative of the company will be attending the Supporters Board meeting.

It is an opportunity for fan groups to put forward ideas and suggestions to the kiosk provider for next season. As ever, the outcome will be set out and published in the Supporters Board minutes.

The club would really welcome ideas and suggestions to take forward to the meeting so that we can put them to the kiosk supplier.

• We pay rent to the landlord who gets no other revenue beyond the lease terms
• We contract out the catering/hospitality and concourse kiosk provision to CGC Events
• The contract provides a guaranteed income and then a revenue share at above certain levels. I don't know the details of this deal.
• We separately get a revenue share from Carlsberg for drinks
• So events are good for us because the more that are held, the better our revenue shares and that enables us to negotiate for a higher guaranteed element.
• Beyond that, it introduces more businesses to the club who will hopefully become sponsors

 

Excellent idea, I donate money every week with my online shopping, but would prefer to donate to my city.

 

I'm really sad to hear Glenn won't be involved at City anymore and hope it's through his own choice and wish him the very best. I found him a breath of fresh air in that he listened to what we had to say and tried his best to answer accurately. Perhaps Ryan Sparks can join the forum and following his footsteps

For away matches, I would like to suggest establishing an area designated for families and those who prefer to sit. This would be achieved by segregation of the ticket allocation.
Such a facility will improve the experience for those who do not want to stand throughout the whole match and might want to avoid youngsters hearing the F word every five minutes.
How would it work? Quite simple. Start allocating family and sitting ticket requests from one end of the away stand and everyone else at the other end. All it takes is a bit of organisation with the away ticket office to understand the seating configuration and a flag on our membership system highlighting if you want a family seat.

Haha the old foul language debate. If you are going to a sporting occasion and not wanting to hear bad language then theres no hope. Just have to accept there are potty mouth people in the world. My lads heard it for 6 years now at football games but does not use foul language himself. Strange because i swear like a trooper at the football.
