Even if it reduces the income for the club?

I tried to explain above, put good food on it's more revenue and more money for the club isn't it?

Storcks right though, the club go with that deal because it gives them a better return. I wouldn't be against a better choice of food and drink at VP but the figures have to be right for it to work. Warm pies and crap beer are cheap to purchase and take no expertise to serve up. When i used to go up to Odsal for the rugby the choice for food was far better but i'm guessing they didn't have a contract with a catering company and could allow whoever they wanted to sell.

When both Baldwin and Mason have been questioned about it in the past they both said they got a better return from having one contract with one provider. Plus it came with a guaranteed amount and then a percentage over a fixed figure.

    Hi,

The planned event is in July - which is summer time. It will be after the players are back from there pre-season camp and will need to be scheduled around pre-season games.

    Thanks, Park Bantam.

There's a lot of work to be done in terms of safety permits but we're investigating these as we speak.

The plan will be to hold a trial at a game and get feedback, review and go forwards from there.

    Hi Storck,

The location will be based upon the advice we get from the various bodies responsible for fan safety, stewarding and policing.

I agree that whatever is done, some people might not be happy. Our role at the club is to improve the overall fan experience for the many whilst trying to take account and minimise any concerns along the way.

I can assure you that if a Fanzone comes about, it's format will be fan led.

Car parking is restricted and with even tighter restrictions next year, it is a challenge.

Regarding food/drink the plan is for street food/craft beer etc. An alternative to the experience inside for those who want variety.

The current concourse contract had ended and we'll have a new provider next year.

It is under negotiation as we speak.

Spot on, in every detail, Mrs O.
I have stated previously that I now take my own pre-cooked Ginster Pasty, rather than be served an over heated (now dry) offering from the Kiosks. Like you, I am prepared to pay for the convenience of onsite fayre, providing that the product quality is in line with that premium rate. Again, I too would rather all monies go direct to the Club, however, without a sharp increase in customer interest, I can't see it paying sufficiently, until established in correlation to footfall.

On a recent visit to Bramhall Lane, seated in the Main Stand ......... We went to one Kiosk for food / soft drinks etc (7/10 for quality), and a Kiosk just yards away for alcoholic beverages - Above 'normal' prices, but included local craft beers. My friend advised me that on selected matchdays, the food Kiosks traded after the game for an hour, too.... allegedly they were busy, in that hour. My own experiences of both BL and VP are 8 / 10 and 4 / 10 respectively, for Service and prices paid. (Similar pricing but quality and service far superior at BL.) I can't comment about corporate facilities, as I've not used them.

I think this is the issue, RT ..... It is not cheap, when you consider the quality. I haven't bought a pie / food at VP for about 3 years, and only an occasional pint.

Great to hear, Glenn. I'm sure the Club won't be disappointed with fan interest in this, or their purchasing of products. A full matchday experience is long overdue at VP, particularly after this last seasons on the pitch events.

    Hi everyone,

I have seen a number of posts relating to food/drink on recently.

The Supporters Board will be meeting next on the 1st July.

One of the items of discussion is the new kiosk catering. CSG will be taking over the contract next year, and a representative of the company will be attending the Supporters Board meeting.

It is an opportunity for fan groups to put forward ideas and suggestions to the kiosk provider for next season. As ever, the outcome will be set out and published in the Supporters Board minutes.

The club would really welcome ideas and suggestions to take forward to the meeting so that we can put them to the kiosk supplier.

    Many thanks.

    Glenn

The club website has a who's who section which needs updating - Andy Todd and Maik Taylor still feature.

Todd Might come back yet, Could be one of them sneaky employment agency tricks. Lay people off around holiday times and set them back on when the work allows. Saves a few bob over summer
