Two questions regarding the safety certificate?

Do we actually hold a valid one for any of the stadium as Edin is named as the certificate holder.

Have we used block A since 2010 when the certificate was issued? I thought we had used it for some of the cup games, but maybe not

Thought we had used it at some point so not sure how we can not have one now as the certificate was issued in 2010 for the whole ground

Might have something to do with having to actually put seats into that area.

I'm really sad to hear Glenn won't be involved at City anymore and hope it's through his own choice and wish him the very best. I found him a breath of fresh air in that he listened to what we had to say and tried his best to answer accurately. Perhaps Ryan Sparks can join the forum and following his footsteps

There is one Safety Certificate which covers the whole Stadium, nothing to do with separate sections, covered or non covered. The current signatory on the Certificate for the Club is Stefan Rupp who replaced Edin Rahic when he left.
The use of the T.L. Dallas stand is down to demand from visiting Clubs and any policing/stewarding is determined by the SAG (Safety Advisory Group) which is comprised of representatives of the Club, Local Authority and Emergency Services. Thus use based on demand and as you will have seen there were games last season, e.g. Sunderland, Wimbledon, Barnsley, to name but three where Dallas and Midland Road were both used for away fans.

Thanks Stafford. I did give an explanation on the sound system yesterday which some on here did not accept but we will see. Paula Watson assured me there had been a very thorough test pre the game as there always is, given the importance of the system in the event of an emergency. No doubt it will be looked at again.
As to the cleaning, I am well aware and am at the ground today. Paula is also aware and focussed on it.

Whilst, it might not be that difficult in itself (although there are a lot of facilities to cover), please bear in mind that this is just one of a large number of issues that the Club is trying to play catch up on.

Strong feedback has been made, both on the thread in question and elsewhere, so I am sure the Club are now well aware that this is seen, by many supporters, as a priority. As @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler has stated, Paula Watson, at the Club, is "aware and focussed on it".

Thanks for the update, but are you seriously just going to ignore the people telling you that the sound system is not working because it was checked and found to be “fine” earlier in the week? I would gladly invite you to come and sit next to me in the Kop for the Cambridge game and let’s see what you think of it then.

Problem is this sort of stuff is it should have already been done. A simple walk round the stadium or quick read of the comments in here over the years would give you a good indication. It should be a proactive strategy to deal with this stuff not reactive.
Feedback from supporters is very important. After all, we’re the ones that use the facilities. But if we keep having the same questions asked it will become criticism rather than feedback.

I agree, but I suspect, under a certain person now departed, staff were previously unable to do a lot of the things that should have been done. Hopefully, we will now see some progress.

Maybe an issue that doesn't need sorting now but the numbers on the seats are illegible and caused loads of problems on Sunday with fans trying to find their seat. I've only noticed this now as I sat in another seat that wasn't my season ticket seat.

Bird sh*t all over some of the seat at the back of Block F lower kop. Didn't look great at all for a day tripper fan or season ticket holder.

I agree, the cleaning regime should be part of the day to day maintenance of any stadia open to the public. Most public toilets are checked every half hour! We don’t need that amount of vigilance but I think Paula needs to be thinking of walking round the stadium and checking all the toilets including the men’s for hygiene, cleanliness, and any stock that is required every Friday, and the day before each match played.

Prior to this it really needs a deep clean, as they have been allowed to deteriorate I to such a mess. I know that requires money, but we have to have at the very least our toilets clean.

Plus bird crap on the seats is a hazard!

Several times in the past I've seen a guy with a clip board going around the suites not sure what he's checking but as you say a tick board with the likes of toileting facilities are a must in this day and age.

He's not Voldemort, you can say his name m8. :eyes:

That's good to hear but Paula should have been aware and focused on it prior to the match. Too late now. The regular ST holders know how terrible the hygiene in the ground is. The new potential fans that we should have been impressing (with clean toilet facilities!) should have seen us at our best. Inexcusable negligence. Downright dirty.
