All the events are contracted to CGC Events under a commercial agreement with them - So it's completely hands off for the club.

Stephen Hoaksey and Nicky Driver head up the events team and they do a great job and work very closely with the club.

Glenn, who benefits from the events that go on through the week at the club such as the driver awareness schemes and the like? Does the club itself benefit or is it the owners of the stadium itself?

I would think you're correct, in fact I believe Mark quoted at one time with regards letting area's out.
A family member has friends who have a box and I believe she said they run their accountancy business from the box during the week.

    • We pay rent to the landlord who gets no other revenue beyond the lease terms
    • We contract out the catering/hospitality and concourse kiosk provision to CGC Events
    • The contract provides a guaranteed income and then a revenue share at above certain levels. I don't know the details of this deal.
    • We separately get a revenue share from Carlsberg for drinks
    • So events are good for us because the more that are held, the better our revenue shares and that enables us to negotiate for a higher guaranteed element.
    • Beyond that, it introduces more businesses to the club who will hopefully become sponsors

Cheers for the reply. Any idea at what capacity they run in terms of times available to times actually booked out? Are there any plans in the future to expand the commercial side of the club, would it be worth the investment in the long term for expansion and refurbishment of the facilities?

Hi Glenn, would it be possible to suggest the idea of a food bank collection point at home games? Other clubs have food bank collections and it seems really popular and would definitely help the more deprived in our City. Has this ever been suggested/thought about?

Excellent idea, I donate money every week with my online shopping, but would prefer to donate to my city.

    Hi,

Just to let you know that that, unfortunately, I'm no longer helping out at Bradford City.

I've really enjoyed the feedback on here and I'd like to thank everyone for taking the time and trouble to put forward their contributions.

If you have any questions relating to the club, please email the relevant teams directly.

    Thanks again.

I'll now drop back into the shadows as a 'lurker' :)

In the hope that he does take over and answer a few questions....

@wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler what makes A block of the main stand so bad that we haven't a licenc/safety certificate for it, surely it doesn't need a roof or covering.

Its also been mentioned in another thread that police costs/steward costs prevent the dallas stand opening due to proximity to the away end. This doesn't seem to lend true as currently both fans leave via midland Road anyway, surely a spread of the bobbies on midland Road to include a couple on holy well Ash lane would suffice
