I'd ask who gave @Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown his information. Has WOAP become the clubs mouth piece? I want WOAP to be informative, because believe it or not the fans see WOAP as a good source for information, not to quash and brush over problems.

Somethings not right, the tone from GB was positive in regards transfers just a couple of weeks ago. To the article this morning is very odd and worrying, what is it that has changed between then now?

I agree and I liked your earlier questions.

The problem that the club have is that the answers are very likely to be negative - or at least not as positive as most fans would like - so rather than stopping rumours and anxiety they'd probably fuel it.

Exactly. This is a quote from Rhodes in the article Bronco posted above -
“In the weeks and months ahead, we will be making key appointments and putting in place a structure which will hopefully ensure we are stronger next season and beyond."
Reality is that we have actually let 2 key backroom members of staff go and don't appear to have anyone (let alone anyone better) lined up to replace them. THe way Bowyer was talking yesterday did not instil any confidence in me that he believes we will be 'stronger next season and beyond'.

Rupp and Rhodes - over to you.

The closed season will give us a clue with regards Rupps intentions but I was a little concerned with Bowyers comment regarding Andy Todd.

More an issue of checks and balances.
I’d prefer more ‘pro active’ supporters groups snapping at the heels of the club hierachy rather than passive apologists who don’t want to rock the boat.

Finances is one part of the equation, but so is attitude, leadership, ethos etc.

I can think of no other manager at the club who has not been able to appoint his own No2, Worrying and may be short sighted if it costs us points that deny us a return to Div1

THAT highlights my / our issues, Aaron.
We ALL know what created all this schitt, but as yet, don't have a scooby doo of HOW we are to deal with it - despite promises from a short while ago.
    See a picture now forming ....... ?
A press release, or Club statement to bring fans back together, must surely be the first step to recovery. Without that, the trap door to NL just can't wait to swallow us up.

Is the correct answer. Most fans of this club aren't daft, they know what the current predicament is. But even if you are down on your knees you don't tell the the fans that, its PR suicide. Always project yourself as positively as you realistically can. Problem is the messages coming out of the club are open to interpretation. Start throwing some positives out, there are some there if our PR department can pull their finger out of their arse.

Lets just not say anything then and leave everything open to interpretation. Lets make no bones about its the club thats got themselves into this mess, nobody else. Up to them to get themselves out of it. First statement out of the club after the season and its about an assistant manager leaving. And as usual the message about it are muddled with no clear idea why. The club has to do better when it comes to the media, its been amateurish for years.

I'll be honest with you mate if i was Rupp i would cut my losses. Obviously this boils down to whether someone is interested in buying the club but if there was i'd take the hit and put it down to experience.

I'm not sure any new buyer would take that into consideration, the asking price would be based on where our club is at the present time, unfortunatly for Rupp we are about as low as we can be.
From a Championship play off team to a kahzi league team IMO Rupp's not a cat in hells chance of recouping his original investment.
I understand he's over today for a few days.

I think people are saying based on his record he's a good coach. We've give him absolutely no tools since he's been here and has had to wait til this Summer to attempt to do something, even though it now doesn't sound very positive in terms of what he can do transfer wise. I think people are lauding Bowyer not because he's untouchable but because we miss stability.

I've absolutely hated the last 18 months and the constant turning over of managers has not been enjoyable.

In all honesty RT I don't know, I am in agreement that it seems odd given that he's always worked with him! If Martin Drury gets the job I am going on fecking strike.

Feel for him? We are a football club trying to move up the leagues. We are not a charity. For gods sake.

I’d Drury is the best we can get....

As long as he gets his own man in I will feel comfortable with it.

Mourinho got his break by earning the respect of Bobby Robson and LVG and building his reputation in the game. He obviously had an aptitude for tactics and planning which got him noticed.

I don't really think Drury has done anything in his time at city to warrant being No 2

Perhaps Bowyer wants Terry McPhillips from Blackpool who is on a rolling 12 month contract and uncertain of his future under new owners?

Reeks of Bowyer being told you have “x” as budget but you can only have a low “y” as your budget for coaching staff if so.

We may have a competitive budget for players but will probably end up with no one to coach them
