Reeks of Bowyer being told you have “x” as budget but you can only have a low “y” as your budget for coaching staff if so.

We may have a competitive budget for players but will probably end up with no one to coach them

 

as it stands at this point I'd be inclined to believe the holders of the purse strings have essentially decided we can't afford Martin Drury and another first team coach under contract and as Todd didn't have a contract, he's the fall guy.

theres nothing to suggest this is GB's preference at the minute - unless we announce a new assistant in the near future.

 

Drury must have been mentored by Chris Grayling. Both appear to be Teflon coated despite being associated with abject failure.

I really hope Bowyer has had a say in this. Let's not forget that he walked away from a job because he didn't believe those above him were providing the conditions necessary for success.

 

Yep, Todds contract runs out, we've still got Drury, and we need to shift some of the budget over to the transfer kitty. Makes sense.
Drury is such a dreamboat though, maybe they think he'll attract more females to the terraces next season

If Drury gets the job no matter what statements come out from Bradford City and I am sure @wetherbywhaler and @Glenn Ackroyd would
agree that we are in deep trouble as a club.

Drury shouldn't be anywhere near being a number 2.

I would hope with Terry McPhillips being his assistant at Blackpool and Blackburn and Andy Todd only coming onboard recently, Bowyer has been made aware of the finacies and told with Drury already being on a 3 year contract he could not have both.
Possibly with Drury being here for a while and involved with first team matters/training etc Bowyer thought he was the better option.

 

Well Dave Hopkin came as our manager and took training along with Anton McElhone and Drury, and he dictated the way the squad played, not sure what a coach would do differently.

 

He does have a very well kept beard.

If a Bowyer can't pick his own management team then it's in trouble
