As a former coach myself, players often came to me with their issues, both on and off field ..... Someone to confide in.
For the best part, I was closer to the team than the Manager - HIS job was results, and picking the right team to obtain those.

 

Feel for him? We are a football club trying to move up the leagues. We are not a charity. For gods sake.

I’d Drury is the best we can get....

 

Bowyer probablly doesn't want him, but we can't afford to sack/pay staff off. If you look at Drury's CV it stinks - Failed at BPA, failed at Boston, failed at City. He isn't what we need. We need experienced staff who know lower english league football and to get the best out of the job which they are suppose to do.

 

It doesn't look good on first inspection but I'm going to reserve judgement. My take on Bowyer is that he knows what he wants and expects to be adequately supported by the board.

I struggle to believe that GB would not be fully behind whatever pans out regarding his management team. I'm sure this would all have been agreed at the time he signed up.

 

As long as he gets his own man in I will feel comfortable with it.

 

Possibly Todd couldn't agree terms there has to be a limit

There are lots of examples like Brendan Rodgers and Roy Hodgson and lots of players who have failed as managers. Keane, Sherwood, Shearer etc.
Again our fans just jump on the first thing to have a go yet not one of them know what kind of regard Drury is held in or how good he is at being a coach.

 

This is a Board matter, I'm not a member of the Board but I'm sure those who matter in that area are more than aware.

 

It seems a simple case of putting 2 + 2 together and getting what ever answer suits.

 

I think you’ll be unpleasantly surprised.

Mourinho got his break by earning the respect of Bobby Robson and LVG and building his reputation in the game. He obviously had an aptitude for tactics and planning which got him noticed.

I don't really think Drury has done anything in his time at city to warrant being No 2

 

Get rid of Drury.
Done nothing in his coaching capacity and i fail to see what he brings to the table.

 

Drury, Rupp and everyone else who contributed to last season's sh*te need to GO.

 

Rupp promising funds looks like another lie. but lets see and just wait before we go mental hehe
