You wait till the club has gone virtually tits up then you make your move, we have a poor season next and Rupp won't be able to give the club away. If i was Rupp and an offer was made i would seriously consider it looking at the position he is in because its going to cost him more money in the next year or two with little chance of it getting any better for his bank balance. Lets see if he sticks or twists?

    Crux of the matter
    Everything revolves round Mr Rupp
That's why it's so frustrating to hear nothing from him
    SPOT ON !!!!!!!!'

As I posted earlier if Rupp stays he will have to finance the club going forward fact, what that will cost is down to how ambitious he is to get the club into a saleable aset that someone would like to buy, the other alternative is to get what he can for the club and put his loss down to experiance.

I'll be honest with you mate if i was Rupp i would cut my losses. Obviously this boils down to whether someone is interested in buying the club but if there was i'd take the hit and put it down to experience.

It largely depends on his interest ( or lack of it)
My guess that his financial advisers have told him to get rid asap
Any funds sunk in to the club will be gone forever regardless of what happens next season
We are not an attractive club for any prospective buyer unless a fan as in the case of Mark Lawn steps up we have no assets for anyone to borrow/ secure against
It's worrying to think that revenue from season ticket sales (if still there) is not being used to support GB in his choice of back room staff

    Absolutely.

Otherwise it is like being at a casino you don't want to be in, losing your initial stake, and then doubling down every time rather than taking the hit and going home.

If I had Rupps money I think I would just be writing this off as a bad experience and selling out to anyone making a half decent offer.

You'll have the doom mongers replying " better the devil you know" well with regards our present situation that would be a risk well worth taking.

The buyer (if there is one) will be expected not only to purchase the club but also take over the losses of £2/3 million that as far as can tell have not yet been covered by Rupp,

In addition if Mr Rupp wants the purchase price back not including any investments he has made to try and progress the club that would be a possible buying price approaching 10 million
For a club that has absolutely nothing chances are very very slim
Over to you and your advisers Mr Rupp

Someone will be the club for sure and it might not be a local person.

However, Mr Rupp will have to cover the debt to make it attractive.

Surely that would be taken into consideration by both parties and the asking price reduced to cover the losses.
No one would be interested at the price Rupp paid for a league one club who were a play off club when he bought it to a league two club now.

I would say due to previous good governance there are lots of clubs worse of than us financially.the sale of McBurnie would recover a lot of last seasons overspend. The trouble is we probably have the highest running cost now in league two rent and stadium costs

Hasn't something similar been happening at Bolton, owner wanting to sell but wanting the newchairman to cover the last months wage bill?

I know Bolton are for sale and Anderson thought he'd got a buyer, but surely any outstanding debt has got to be taken off the purchase price.
If you buy a house and it needs so run down it needs windows, rewiring, new bathroom etc that would be taken into account with the buying price of the property ?.

Yep that is correct. It looks like buyers can wait till it goes to auction, and then buy the club at the lowest price possible.

You would think so, KA doesn't seem to see it that way and that's why vultures are lurking waiting for them to hit admin. In all honesty I'm quite worried about the direction our club is heading at the minute.

@Dennis@Dennis made a point that he'd seen no cash injection, to which I'd asked at what point we'd need to see some cash to keep turning over. We can't go on forever carrying the debt from last season and the cash is going to dry up soon if money is pumped in.

    Worrying times indeed.

Has McBurnie been sold? How long is left on his contract

He's the last of the cash cow if I am correct.

Currently we have no real sellable assets.

Would you buy the club as it is now ??
Mr Rupp and his advisers arent so far forthcoming with cash to make it an attractive position
Would you throw an extensive amount of cash at something you are not interested in and have already lost millions to not show a return ??
He only has one alternative after that and its not a good one
