Hey all - Wycombe fan here. I just wanted to say I thought you were the better side, which has not happened often at our place this season. The fact I am happy with a point says it all. Not the most entertaining game, but after a good start by us, you dominated the rest of the first half, and it wasn't till we brought Cowan-Hall on nearer the end of the game that we had another good spell.

I was tremendously impressed with Payne, and also with your level of commitment and inventiveness. You really went all out for the win for the 90, and showed more spirit that I have seen with a lot of other teams lately.

You seem like a class club with good fans - I really do wish you well for the remainder of the season, and hope you stay up!

Ok, just got back to Woking from the game (did stop for a beer on the way home) and overview - it was bloody cold, no problem with the effort or attitude of the team today, and a draw was probably about right (but there were spells where it was ours to win today)

Wycombe started well and pressed us back and, not unexpectedly, they had some late pressure which created a couple of scary moments. But in between I honestly thought we were the better team - there was a spell where Payne started to really boss the game and we had to take advantage then. Massive shout for a pen but it was at the other end so difficult to comment more at this stage.

Plus points - good defensive effort all round (Fordy, your mate was a rock today!), Caddis was also so solid and good support going forward, Akpan continued to be a bit more prominent and as mentioned, Payne (+ Caddis and Wood) put some great balls into the box but we just didnt get on the end of them. Good to see Butterfield and Clarke get on the pitch (nice to have some subs who could potentially make a difference)

Sadly Ball and Doyle were pretty quiet (and Miller when he got on) and it would be remiss not to say a couple of wonderful crosses were crying out for a goal hungry striker to snap them up - very frustrating.

But overall not a bad result, its a very friendly club and they are def punching above their weight - but we matched them in every area today. Over 500 City fans there which was a great effort, particularly with the dodgy weather.

We’ve now taken 18 points from the last 11 games which is play off form,so we are improving after an awful start. We don’t need to win them all to stay up, another 7 wins out of the remaining 15 will do it. A good point today and if we do go down it won’t be because we only drew at Wycombe it will be because of getting just 14 points from first 20 games.

Did we need Butterfield, lol, a proven Championship player who cost 5 million and is on a whopping wage - a player totally beyond our means - did we need him, lol, what a silly question.

It most certainly wasn't a classic Dave.

For the life of me I still cannot understand why O'Donnell persists with the hoofing it up the middle. 9 times out of 10 it hits the CB's head and comes straight back at us. Doyle rarely wins the header and Miller doesn't even try to jump for it.
I'm not advocating that we should always play out from the back like Stuart's 2016/17 team did. But at least look for the quick throw to a full back or get Akpan to drop deep for it sometimes.
I can only hope that if Butterfield slots into central midfield we won't just boot it over his head the whole game.

At this point, it’s pointless obsessing about our rivals. Our fate is in our own hands. If we do our job we’ll stay up. If we don’t, we’ll deserve to go down.

I think the slight panic from everyone is we aren't seeing an improvement in position considering our upturn in form and results but if we consider at the beginning of this run we were 7 points from 22nd whereas now we are 2 points from 18th then there's definitely cause for optomism in us been in a better position come the end of March

Looking good. This is the view from the away end, courtesy of Wycombe Wanderer's twitter account. Well done to all the volunteers, who have helped clear the stadium surrounds as well.

And for me this last week we have done our job so far. Got to keep going but from 2 away games and one home game 5 points is not a bad return

When a team in the bottom 4 gets a point at a team looking at the play offs it’s not 2 points dropped

Night all. Let's hope in a month's time we are wondering what the hell we were worrying about.

Better than a loss at a difficult venue and a clean sheet as well

I am sorry we didn't take the 3 points but would like to mention how friendly and helpful all the staff and stewards at Wycombe were. I hadn't been to Adams Park before but it was one of the more welcoming grounds.

Probably wasnt a target but probably realised early doors mcgowan was off.

He was useless at Barnsley yes, but that was hopkin' fault for moving our right back into midfield, deciding to play with three defenders, one of whom was the kid who trained with us for only 3 hours previously.

Oh and he didnt give the penalty away on tuesday either, it was caddis.

Wood is a poor left back too. In my opinion he is much better playing where he is.

The myth of Doyle needing service because he's a clinical forward dispelled well and truly by now.

    Huge waste of money.
