On 6:40 train out of Leeds. Hope the weather stays fine if not it’s a day out in London

 

Weather’s fine down here in Wycombe, no more snow, just icy on pavements and side roads. Think they only signed one on Thursday - young lad from QPR - but let Mckail-Smith and Sam Saunders go. Paper talk here is always Akinfenwa, still a big lump who ambles rather than moves but he’s had his best scoring seasons in his career recently. Quite a wide pitch, which might expose our lack of width going forward and our full-backs will have to be careful. Wycombe aren’t great but work hard for each other - mates down here are expecting a tight game and predicting a draw, think they’re been kind!

We need wins not draws.

No reason why we can't get 3 points here. The team must be buzzing after Tuesday now.

How the matter have fallen if we hope for a draw against bloody Wycombe

 

Wycombe are currently 9th, City have a very poor record against teams in the top half so a draw would be a decent effort.

Our mini revival began with Doyle and Miller up front but Hopkin is now playing Doyle on his own, we will see if this works as i see it as a backward step if you want to win games.

Akinfenwa not playing?- he scored on weds night, O'Connor and NKP will be very happy and less bruised.
Met this beast after a Valley Parade game and he is a total gentleman off the field.

Akinfenwa must be knocking on a bit now. I always wanted to see him marked by that 12 year old who came on in McCall's first managerial stint here!

Always wanting a win - Wycombe mates suggesting a draw.

Couldn’t agree more about our current predicament; pisses me off no end to have to downplay our chances at somewhere like Wycombe but after the shitshow we served up against them in August and the league table, that’s where it is. However, 0-2 City.

 

And a club pushing for a play-off position to the Championship have sanctioned this? Mind-boggling if true.

 

I remember that, was on shippers, so some of us jumped off at meadow hall and went to watch Wednesday lol

 

Need a win but would take a point. Ice on the ground but the Falcon is warm and dry, cheap pint also. First time at this ground another tick off the list. Just need the game to go ahead and not be called off because of a frozen pitch.

Falcon is Wetherspoons, give yourself 45 mins to walk to ground. Other side of shopping area, there’s only 2 on the A40: 1) Bird in Hand (crap); 2) White Horse - might be some ladies dancing for your pleasure! After that, Hour Glass which is 10-15 mins from ground.

 

I hear you but I'm not sure we'll get many 0-0 draws between now and the end of the season!

 

Who does that work then,36 year old (37 in April) Akinfenwa initially signs a one year contract with Wycombe, but stipulates he wants time off to go to the states and watch the Super Bowl.

 

He says that his manager says that if he plays 2 games in a row then he won't play the 3rd one.
