Who?

 

I'm not a fan of McCartan at all.

However, you have to say he would score 7/8 in a full season in League One, if he started the vast majority of games. I think he got 4 in 19 starts last season. So he's broadly speaking a 1 in 5 forward at league 1 level.

I can only see Doyle delivering that from the names you listed above.

He's certainly no worse than Ball, who has contributed very little.

 

McCarten has said he doesn't want to come back.He loves it at Lincoln and he was honest enough to allude to the bad atmosphere at our club.

We know the players aren't performing and issues with owners was also mentioned as being part of the problem.

It's no good players trying to paper over the cracks and say "it's football". We know the club are in turmoil and hoping for a sudden turn in fortunes seems to be a pipe dream.

A very dramatic change is needed at the top,otherwise we will go down.

In January when Rahic was asked about signing Billy Sharp, Rahic said 'I'm not going to pay someone 8k a week to be good one week and s**t the next'.

Seems he had a better plan. Pay someone 2 or 3k a week and get them to play s**t both weeks.

Does Rahic adjust his salary according to his performance? He is hardly in a position to judge. He has consistently recruited badly - valued staff have been made to feel they can no longer work forthe club due to his poor management style. Any positives - good practices - business decisions are far over shadowed by his failures to date, seems incapable to take on advice to make good informed decisions and fails to take on board any lessons learned.

 

Sharpe would never come to Bradford irrelevant of the money. Why would they sell one of there best players when he’s perfectly capable of firing them in to the premier

 

Good riddance. If we get some money for him I'm happy for him to be shipped out. He's not any improvement on any of the front line currently, so won't be missed.

What McCartan said will have no bearing on the decision. If Hopkin thinks it's in our interests then he'll be back. Personally, I thought he was badly managed and understand why he sees his time under McCall, negatively. He played well over Xmas, starred in our only truly great home performance of last year (Oxford) continued this for the Fleetwood New Years Day win and then was made the scapegoat for the Northampton match (when he was the best front man of an admittedly poor displaying bunch). No wonder he doesn't have fond memories about any of last season

I'd like to see him under Hokpkin's guidance. It's also nonsense to think that a player performing for the standout L2 team, cant hack it in L1

I've no idea if it's a good idea. It's not the worst one I've heard though

 

I think the toxic atmosphere would disappear overnight if Rahic left. Our support for the team would increase 10 fold in an instant, so players like McCarten wouldn’t have to play with fear. The whole place would be so much better.

This is what Rupp needs to realise. Lose Edin and the heat is off in the short term at least. Hopkin deserves the chance to concentrate on the football and not the off field craziness he has to deal with at the moment.

 

I rate McCarten and said so when he was struggling for game time, he looks a good footballer to me. Lincoln are going up, crowds are high and I bet it's a reet noisy and happy atmosphere. Come on, what's in for him to come back to this mess?

It's looks like McCarten and Nicky Law might well be a division above us next season, if Poleon, McMahon, Morais and Vincleot were, I'd laugh my dick off.
