The embarassment in sending David Hopkins to apologise when someone within the club sanctioned the decision to actually pay an undisclosed fee for Kai Brunker.

It was right that he apologised. Not speaking to the media after the game is unacceptable.

As for the players. Once more he has come out and belatedly said unacceptavle, I agree wholeheartedly with that. Unfortunately, it looks like he will be saying this until January as he cannot get them playing in an acceptable way it would seem

Also good to see he mentioned the poor fans who travelled to Kent on Saturday and had to witness the shambles.

Don't know where he goes from here though with this set of players.

For the second time. He did the same after Accrington. It's gone well since.......

Problem is, what else can he say? He see's what we see.

It's all irrelevant now regarding appologies and rallying calls as the damage is too severe, even a couple of good results won't bring me back, only the tw@t ER leaving would do that.

I think he said if we were still in the bottom four. Mind you we were told we would strengthen last Jan if we were challenging

Despite the terrible results and performances under him, probably best he stays. I'm sure he now knows who he wants to bin, and hopefully he will be backed in January, and left to bring in his own players and coaches. We definitely need an urgent clean sweep of the coaching team and assistants

Hopkin won't get his own way come January. I've now come round to the opinion that he sees himself as unshakable and will now brazen it out for a wage for the rest of the season, when he walks away having seen us delegated. If he had any true principles and values, he would walk away with his dignity intact. Instead, he's chosen to become Edineezer' s payday.

    McCarten's comments -

“I’m back to enjoying football, last year I didn’t enjoy my football. I’m back to feeling how I did at Accrington. It was hard at Bradford, since I signed it just went on to a downward spiral, everything went pear-shaped and the fans were getting on the back of owner and that led on to us and it was a negative atmosphere. I feel sorry for the lads there as they’ll be giving their all but it’s hard to everything around you is so negative to get out of that rut. Here it’s different, it’s all positive. The fans love the club and the gaffer, it’s just positive everywhere which is opposite to what I had at Bradford.”

Nothing else he can do. They are a total shower. But he’s got them for 8 more weeks. Minimum

I know, if it wasn't for those pesky Bradford City fans, it would be a great club with a great team playing with a smile on their face beating all that were put before them. Damn those miserable City fans, what is wrong with them. It's all their fault.

That's true; but IF Edid is gone, and a competent replacement made, then Rupp might be more inclined to invest.
Would YOU invest more if you were in Rupps posion with Edin the 'eddless in charge?

I disagree. I reckon he's stood up to Edin and possibly even made an ultimatum.
We'll find out in the next couple of months. Maybe sooner.

I would guess the likelihood of investment would increase if Rahic is gone but that's because my opinion of him is that he's incompetent. We can assume that if Rahic does go it's because Rupp thinks the same so fingers crossed.

I guess thats him not coming back in January. I can't blame him really, the toxic atmosphere has been allowed to fester for way too long thanks to Edins incompetence. Better off staying where he is wanted.

Young Shay has a selective memory, things didn't start turning pear shaped and fans getting onto the owners back until Stuart was shown the door, McCartan had 5 months to show Stuart and the fans what he could do but failed to do so.
He actually said that the step up from Accrington to Bradford City was massive and gave a few examples one being the training facilities, where as at Accrington he trained in the equivalent of Richard Dunn's and were lucky to have enough balls to go around.
Lets be truthful he is a league two player and showing exactly that at Lincoln.
The fans love the club and gaffer says McCartan, I'll let you into a secret Shay we loved the manager and club and the players, (did you forget the fans adulation at Fleetwood when you scored the winner) before they downed tools and helped get Stuart McCall sacked, hope Lincoln will stump up a transfer fee for you because if you thought it was toxic last season you won't cope if you come back to Bradford City.
