Yes, Payne is setting the world alight at Bradford City but no point recalling a player who is fat, lazy and found his level at Div 2.

If we go down then yes have him in the squad but those who think he's the answer need to give their heads a shake.

 

No one said he's the answer but at the moment Bruenker gets in the team.

Why replace a forward with a number 10?

Stop being a cheap as Edin... we need a new forward not a fake one.

 

He is a cheaper and agree inferior version of Payne from what we saw last season. If we are allowed to send Payne back it will he a case of releasing wages to fund ( the difference between Payne and Mccarten wages) and bring in players Hopkins actually wants.

 

Or the owners can and should put their f&cking hands in their pockets and by decent players.

McCarten isn't good enough and isn't the answer to our problems.

 

This is the only way I can see it Briggus. We can't have both, because it's hard enough trying to accommodate Payne as it is, with the squad we have. Add to that, if McCartan is not going to get as much game time, again he will feel disaffected, and both he and the club are back to square one.
Hopkin needs to have a real plan in place, before he starts upsetting any apple carts.

 

I'm assuming Bruenker gets the nod when Hopkin wants a physical target man up front and that will continue to be the case if we bring Mcarten back. Unless of course he genuinely thinks Bruenker is a better footballer than both Miller and Ball? You'd hope not.

I'm not saying he's any good but he clearly wasn't selected ahead of Miller and Ball based solely on ability. The only logical reason i can think of is that Hopkin wanted a battering ram up front and thought Bruenker perhaps due to his height would be best suited to it. If that was the thinking behind it, bringing Mcarten back wouldn't make a difference.
