In January when Rahic was asked about signing Billy Sharp, Rahic said 'I'm not going to pay someone 8k a week to be good one week and s**t the next'.

Seems he had a better plan. Pay someone 2 or 3k a week and get them to play s**t both weeks.

 

No one said he's the answer but at the moment Bruenker gets in the team.

Just have a think about that fact before you turn down anyone else.

Keep McCartan on loan anyway. He is not good enough for L1 and he is not better than Payne or Ball. Keep him in a Lincoln side doing well and the try sell him in January to recoup as much of that 200k as possible. Whoever thought he was worth 200k, on the back of a good second half of the season in L2, wants sacking too, btw.

 

Apparently Wright is on more like £4.5-5k and Riley £5-5.5k a week, Isherwood £2k. This from the same HP that told me what Kai was on well before WOAP published it. The salaries Rahic agreed to are mental.

 

And to think McCall managed to keep
Us in the top 6 for a full half season with these players who cant seem to make it even in league 2

Jones has been injured and cant blame him, but the others, patrick, gibson, mcCarten, and the two who went to crawley, thats like half a full team have all had time to play in league 2 and havnt exactly totally smashed it, McCarten has done ok but hes not a fixed started or playing full 90 mins every match is he?

How McCall managed to keep us in top 6 with these players is crazy.... and then the inevitable happened

 

I said it last season, Nicky Law should have been offered another contract (amongst many others). He’d stroll into this current dross.

I think the toxic atmosphere would disappear overnight if Rahic left. Our support for the team would increase 10 fold in an instant, so players like McCarten wouldn’t have to play with fear. The whole place would be so much better.

This is what Rupp needs to realise. Lose Edin and the heat is off in the short term at least. Hopkin deserves the chance to concentrate on the football and not the off field craziness he has to deal with at the moment.

 

I think although McCarten sounds reluctant to leave Lincoln,I think that is due in part to the past circumstances at City.

If DH seriously wants to activate the clause to bring him back then he has to have a serious talk with the lad to get his perspective on things and also tell him how things have now changed dramatically and after due consideration then see if his attitude is any different.

If he is still wanting to stay at Lincoln then sell him and move on.McCarten has ability,he is an international but he needs the right coaching,incentive and belief that his career and international opportunities will be better served at a bigger club in a higher league.

If he comes round and wants to give his all for us then he will be an asset to us.

 

Yep. Moving on the shite from the Rahic era will come at a price. We need to think in terms of damage limitation. If we get 50k for him, and pay up 30-50% of the contracts for the likes of Riley, Wright, Jones, it’ll sting - but it’s still freeing up some funds to help what we need to do now - but both in terms of what’s needed now and for the summer rebuild, it’ll cost Rupp a pretty penny.

And from what I hear, Rupp is looking to sell in the summer. If he is....he’s talked of propping the club up for now, which no doubt he has and he seems like an honourable man who genuinely regrets letting Rahic loose on the Bradfordian public, but how much will he actually be willing to put in to strengthen us now...? Just enough for staying up would be my bet. And if we gamble on what ‘just enough’ is, we could come a cropper
