Really impressed with the club today. I'd renewed my season ticket, but then my dad told me that he wanted to start coming. (He's only ever been to one match before and has never really been a big football fan but enjoyed the atmosphere and supporting his home town club when he came this season). He is disabled after some surgery a few years back and so I contacted the club as I thought I'd need to move to a different part of the ground and to ask about their access scheme. Long story short, anybody who is in receipt of PIP is entitled to a free carers ticket. But because id already bought my ticket, and it was in my name and not my father's I didn't think this would be possible. They have said it's not a problem, honoured the scheme and instructed the ticket office of my case. Just need to pop in with the paperwork and it will all be sorted. Really pleased that they have this access scheme. We implemented one at my work a few years ago but I didn't think it would exist in football.

we aren't going to sell any tickets at £299 so why don't the club extend the cheap ticket deadline- perhaps until the end of the season, and then promise to put every single penny made from season tickets from now until the revised deadline directly into the playing budget? We aren't going to lose out financially because any purchases will be additional (if folk haven't renewed at £299 they never were) and it could encourage those who haven't renewed to renew, thus increasing the budget.

So the uptake on season tickets is markedly down and some of our fans think thats not bad in the circumstances. Jesus wept, money coming through the turnstiles equates to a better budget for the manager and more bodies in the ground equates to better merchandise and more sales at the food kiosks and more potential for better sponsorship deals.
But hey, at least we've got rid of those pesky 'plastics'.

For me, the solution is to have a clear timetable, produced several weeks in advance. Something on the lines of:-
- First of January, confirm date when details of next seasons arrangements/prices will be released.
- Middle of January publish prices, packages, changes in system and date on sale.
- Early February commence selling tickets. Phase one are at the discounted rate. This to run to the last day in March (a seven weeks window).
- Around 6th April have a second phase, to run until third week in May (so the club has a very good idea of the income before the transfer market reopens, which this year is 17th may 2018).
- Standard rate there on.
- Anyone buying a new Season Ticket for the following season, would have the same rights as current fans, to purchase tickets for any potential play off game.
- Introduction of a 'half season' ticket. On sale from 25th November, for matches after 25th December 2018, set at £10 a game for adults and pro rata for concessions. So if we had 12 games, then they would be £120. A great Christmas present.
- Set up a direct debit system for people who wanted to pay in installments, perhaps by a continuous payment authority.
- Kids for a quid. Great scheme in the past, perhaps one off games.

football fans are fickle as anything. couple more wins, a decent signing - if it's still cheap they'd renew.
probably not if its £299.
just because you're uber and bought in the first 5 minutes doesn't mean everyone is, and personally I'd rather the club sold as many possible, and raised as much income as possible. and there's more chance of doing just that if they keep prices low. no one is going to buy at £299 if they haven't already, where as theres every chance if it stayed low.Fools Gold, Allotment Bantam, Pineapple Salesman and 2 others like this. -
I think 12,000 represents a decrease of interest but also a drop towards our normal level of season ticket holders. Promotion was the only way we'd get close to 18,000 again. This season is probably the first season since 2011/12 where we haven't achieved anything of note/interest what with cup runs, promotions, play off campaigns and the first season back in L1. And apathy quickly sets in.
While a drop of 6,000 is disappointing, I do think it represents a drop back towards "our level" of season ticket holders. The 15,696 crowd for the Fleetwood play off semi final last season was probably a good indicator of where we are support-wise (and the atmosphere that night was electric). So after a pretty rubbish season, 12,000 season tickets compares reasonably well to that.
But it clearly exposes a missed opportunity. A season of dreadful home form has prevented possibly turning some of those 6,000 fans into regulars.BoingBoing, Thelittlegerman, Pineapple Salesman and 1 other person like this. -

Just been reading on Facebook about someone who tried to buy tickets on the fnal day (I don’t know why people leave it till the last minute) and couldn’t buy 4 tickets. They have contacted the club who say they working their way through a backlog of e-mails. All this says to me once again that early deadlines cuts down sales and should be extended

If we get beat tonight in the same manner as Saturdays no show from the team then I wouldn't bank on supporters rushing down to the ticket office to buy.
The club have done well to hang onto it's hardcore let alone newbies buying one.Fools Gold and Onside like this.
