In previous years Mason has said they have always sorted the odd one out for people. So I would guess the same would apply if the person asked.

If you sort one why not all? If i knew of someone who had indeed been 'sorted out' but then refused myself then they could go swivel for my money. The price of £299 is overpriced, it should be lower.

I’m not an ‘uber fan’ in any sense of the phrase. As for looking down my nose, how stupid. You say the club can’t afford to think like that, but they do and have done since time began...!

I’d be shocked if that was the case and again it’s not the clubs fault! The Facebook post was basically saying that

And according to the post the club had a backlog of e mails to sort out which suggest there were a lot Iof people in the same boat

£299 is still cheap in comparison with other L1 clubs, only 2 had lower than £299 this season.

Which puts in context where we are in the pecking order our 12k puts us on a par with clubs on 6k plus. Big club? Don’t think so

I agree we are not as big as some people think.
Heres our attendances over the years. I would estimate we would get about 8/9k if prices were the same as other clubs

Just turning the debate on its 'head a little'.

Spur's season Ticket price for next season is apparently £795 to a gob smacking £2,200.

A particularly hideous local football club, charges up to £646 in the early doors campaign (£710 there after).

Charlton charge up to £500 a season ticket.

Paying on the day at VP would cost £575 (23 X £25).

Buying early, up to the day before the match, would cost £460 (23 X £20).

Paying the full £299 would equate to £13 a game. In reality that is not a huge price probably the equivalent to a pint and a packet of 20!

I think I set out in detail my view about giving fans a clear and unambiguous timetable as to the process of buying a Season Ticket. As has been pointed out there is a finance option which is not too expensive.

The clubs policy on tickets is admirable but ultimately relies on a large uptake in sales to match other clubs budgets. It the old supply and demand scenario, if demand isn't there you have to do something to persuade people to come and watch. Dropping your prices is the obvious one but does somewhat restrict your future revenue streams when you do well as fans become accustomed to the chap prices and then expect that as the norm.

You can't equate our full price to others when the real price of our tickets is so cheap. £299 might seem cheap when in comparison with others but the better comparison in reality is with our own £149 tickets, its a 100% price rise. Its our cheap tickets that are the problem they are too cheap. They should start at £200 which is still ridiculously cheap but makes the rise to £299 not as steep.

Actually I agree that charging £299 when you have a lower starting point does not make much sense to me. Why not £338 which is twice the price of the £169 deal. Perhaps £253.50 or rounded to £249 which would be an additional 50% over the initial deal.

In reality there are working class people on low wages who support those clubs. Look at the price of rent/mortgages in London and they wipe out any benefit of the higher wages they can earn. A family member pays just short of £900 a month to have a bedroom with a shared bathroom/kitchen in London in a former council flat in Tower Hamlets!

My brother lives in hammersmith and the prices are obscene. I agree £249 should be the price of the tickets after £199 deadline. There is no benefit having them at £299.

Well I've not renewed yet but probably will before the end of £199 deadline, not too fussed over extra £30 as it's still cheap, I'm sure a good few others will be same to add a few to the numbers.

If they advertised it was available until day of season loads would leave it till last minute.

Human Nature i suppose. I understand the need for deadlines but there absolutely no reason to have tickets on sale at a price no one will buy at. Any potential season ticket holders between may and the beginning of the season will be lost.

They have to put them up to a high price so the offer price is attractive. If normal price was £199, £169 isn't a big deal. It is a marketing gimmick. Just like the book price of a car. You always get a deal with money off the book price.

You still get money off at £249 or £229. Why does it need to be £299?
