Some do, some don't. What's important though is that they are consistent either way. If they like to stay out of the limelight, then do so. If they want to be public, then be public.

We saw Rahic celebrating on the pitch at Fleetwood when we made it to Wembley basking in the glory during the good times, but when things took a turn for the worst he was cowering away. He, like Sparks, enjoyed pumping everyone up in the off-season telling us all what we want to hear about ambition and intent, but when the tough times occur what then?

I know their roles are different, but what's uncomfortably similar is the patterns of behaviour, especially in public.

 

I think an October fan forum needs to happen around this next announcement.

As I've said in the passed mate, I'm a half glass full kinda guy.
And I'll still be going down to Valley Parde good or bad, it's called supporting your club, others have a different point of view which is there right but they shouldn't categorise fans who don't share there view.

 

True, it's more that there are big games to look forward to and hypothetically you're within touching distance of the championship. As I've said I think Adams is a good manager and has as much chance as anyone of getting it right. Just pains me to admit it may take a year or two of yet more shite and soundbites from Sparks before we do. League 2 saps your enthusiasm for football.

 

Very true and the situation arose because we had a small squad, McCall saying he preferred a small tight squad, was that because we weren't making any more signings so he took the flack.
As you say they showed promise but the goal this season is promotion you don't throw kids in and hope all will come good, he's seen them in training and the Papa John Trophy and doesn't believe they are ready for league football, why would he play them in the run were in at the moment, maybe Sutton for Evans because he's far more mobile but Scales to partner Cook do me a favour, even though Sikora is a big lad he's not ready for first team football.

 

I think DA has had his wrist slapped.

Can take ages to turn it around, it doesn’t happen overnight. You can tell people to be positive and solution focussed and you can have as many workshops, seminars and one to one coaching as you like but sometimes people just won’t change. Sparks has to live it, I say I’m judged from the way I park my car/leave my bike in the shed to the way I close my door on the way home. Yep totally agree, and I'm with you on your points. Just highlighting that Rupp is never going to look at any windfall from a sell on/transfer and put it towards growing the club. He's just happy turning red numbers into black.
As pointed out - Sparks needs to also understand this. What exactly do they talk about when they have a board meeting? Sparks coming out all gung ho at the beginning of the season, saying we're going up in 2022 highlights the fact that those two are on a completely different page. Sparks sees the black numbers and thinks we've got money to buy promotion winning players, whereas Rupp sees black numbers that the business is "running well" and wants to keep it that way. All that happens, is that us as supporters see has no interest in progression, and us as supporters see that our CEO is spouting bs to sell season tickets and is out of touch with what is really going on.

 

Not surprised rupp is not backing the club's ambitions(ha!) but looking at what our current playing budget has brought us is a shocker.
Bargain basement, over 13,000 S/T's wont get City far, will need to keep lumping £50 on each season to make a decent budget and cover the losses for those who depart.
Glad Adams isn't keeping silent, sparks on the other hand needs to keep a low profile from now on.

 

Maybe, but if the likes of Remi Oteh or another striker were available, you have one fit striker and can’t convert your chances, then if there is money available then surely you should be snapping him up.

I’m not fussed about Oteh, but the principal is the same. We can’t score and have one fit striker, we should be signing a free agent.

 

Sadly, I feel fully vindicated in not buying an ST. Seen and heard it all before.

 

That seams to be the case, face the fans and invite the T&A to the forum where you can make the clubs October statement.

 

Tbf, he has been responding to people via twitter.

To me, there are 3 key questions:

1) How does out budget compare to others in the league
2) What budget was promised to Adams and has that promise been maintained?
3) Given our relative size when compared to others in the league, why can't we establish a playing budget and recruitment set up that sets us apart from the majority of the league?

We keep talking about being a 'big club'. Other clubs, when they drop to levels they shouldn't be, don't seem to make anywhere near as hard a job of sorting themselves out.

 

That's where yours and your families season ticket money would have been useful to the club, just sayin.
