Bloody disgrace BBC Look North didn't do any coverage of yesterdays game and the reason why 24,000+ attended.

 

Its certainly eating away at one particular poster even though i'm pretty sure not one single person on this planet would expect Liverpool to rock up to VP with the champions league winning team even if they were all available. I'll be going regardless of what team they put out and i'm pretty sure that 99% of fans will do to. If you aren't going to turn up because you worry about what team Liverpool may or may not put out rather than for Stephen Darby then football isn't really for you.

 

You keep telling us you're not interested in City either so why even bother posting on this thread?

Many people on the day, including club staff, will be donating their time for free. Where we have to utilise 3rd parties, we have to pay them for their time/services/product.

The friendly with Liverpool has turned into a debate about old people sat on ‘cushty pots’ who might be complaining about youngsters ‘fiddling’ or something. Christ the season can’t start soon enough.

 

Seems a bit strange to me to be discussing the quality of the opposition, seat location and allocation, concessionary pricing and qualification etc, and very little about work and aims of the foundation.
Let's all have arguments amongst yourselves rather than get behind this and the other efforts such as Distance for Darbs, or Parkinson, Parkin & Breacker cycling coast to coast to raise 25k

 

This in a nutshell. Amongst the usual pre season tripe we actually have a game that is watchable for various reasons, the main one being a fundraiser for a charity set up jointly for Stephen Darby. I don’t care for what team Liverpool put out, or what bloody seat number me and my lad will be sat in, i care more for what will be a fantastic occasion in the name of Darbs. A small gesture for a guy who gave so much for this club.

 

Can we set up a separate board for the Bradford Reds to discuss the ins and outs of their true loves squad?

 

@Onside I think your post is spot on. I am attending. My son also a season ticket holder cannot attend as he is at a festival that weekend. Instead I am bringing with me a good friend who is a locally based Liverpool fan who doesn't normally get to see the team she supports. She won't be wearing a Liverpool shirt, but she certainly knows who Stephen Darby is and wants to support this great charitable cause too. I can't see anything wrong with that and I would be amazed if there was any trouble at this match on account of the respect in which Darby is held.

 

I can't wait for this, my wife's a Scouser so I've invited a load of her family which will be sitting in the bantams bar with me.
Very friendly people oh and they're all blues so they will want us to win .
Also it's a great occasion and the first time my son will of seen the ground full .

 

@brisbanebantams and @Plastic Bantam if your not going to the game why are you bothered ? Seems odd to be moaning about something your not interested in going too

 

To anyone who's whinging about who'll be there, why they're going, what shirt they're wearing etc... get a grip and get a life. We're going to support Darbs and have a great day at a FULL VP, which is an extremely rare event indeed. I'll be there with my 6-yr old daughter. It's her first ever football match (she'll be wearing a Liverpool kit ) and we're both looking forward to it. I was 5/6 when my dad first brought me to VP, so this'll be a momentous occasion for me personally, and for everyone in attendance.

 

You'd be at the wrong game for those team colours

 

I had to read that twice as I couldnt believe what I read first time.

I honestly couldnt care less what shirt people sat around me are going to be wearing, its a charity match for a very good cause, not a league cup semi final for godsake

 

please explain how its disrespectful to wear a football shirt of a different colour to ours. nobody but you is taking it as disrespectful in reality nobody cares what a fan of a different club is wearing

So somebody decides to wear a liverpool shirt in an area of the stadium that probably would have been the only area that they could get a ticket for. And you wont like it, grow up for God sake, it's a charity match for 1 of our history makers just enjoy the game like a normal adult would
