If..Doyle goes big mistake

I thought this was odd but then I've just seen it's a new EFL rule. Same thing has just happened in the forest wba game.

 

Yes but I'd had several pints what was their excuse today.
What I find amusing modern players are all wired up to get the heart rate, body oxygen used and maybe they need to be replaced because thay have gone that extra mile (not saying that was the case today) yet they can't sort a pair of boots out that help stop them slipping on their arses, "unbelievable Jeff" .

 

That's possibly the idea - make that position a figure of the first team, then as soon as McCartan is fit, put him in there.

Again, just didn't suit Alan Connell today, oh, I mean Eoin Doyle, apologies.

Spoke to McCartan briefly before the game and he seems in a much better place now. He wants to be here again and was bubbly. I hope we see the McCartan we thought we signed, not the one from that frustrating first season.

He was a free kick specialist at Accrington and could get plenty of chances off Donaldson and Vaughan getting legged if today is anything to go by.

 

Couldn't agree more, Kammy. Back in our day we used to have proper footie boots and studs that were nailed in. No slipping and sliding like these lads who play in girlie shoes that aren't fit for purpose!

 

Usually under pressure from an opposition player, Doyle was nowhere near anyone.

 

Doyle was dogshit.

 

Three or four leather discs with three nails through them and into the sole. You knew about it if you got those down your shin on a freezing Saturday in January.

 

You have to smile, most accept Doyle has got his best goal returns playing with a big lad who does the physical stuff, last season we didn't have that kind of support for him yet he still finished our highest marksman in that poor squad.
Now we have two very good options yet Bowyer thinks Doyle can play the number 10 role, do we really need to play round pegs in square holes so frustrating mate, for me Bowyer should either play Donaldson & Vaughan up top with Scannell wide, or Doyle along side Donaldson, or Vaughan but preferably.
I posted the other day that making Vaughan captain would hopefully make him more aware of his antics at times on today's showing being Captain doesn't seem to matter, loved his commitment but was dreading every challenge he made once he'd been booked.

 

Maybe I missed them but can't remember the Cambridge players slipping like the above mentioned.

 

Maybe you did, saw it a number of times one even tried to claim a free kick and grabbed the ball second half and we got a free kick for hand ball

 

It just didn't make sense not one player changed their boots until half time and the way they were going down the lack of grip could have caused a nasty injury, maybe the new boots all have the same size studs ?.

 

Think that might be it and maybe the pitch was over watered with the warm weather.

 

Is there a school that we can go do for that level of insight? Next you’ll be saying we should throw Paudie O’Connor upfront if Donaldson gets injured. After all, they’re footballers and can play anywhere, right?????

Did anyone honestly think he had a good game. He was constantly in acres of space down the right but produced next to feck all.

He was that bad it looked like he wasn’t in control of his own body

 

He was our best player on the day yepp, he can’t do much if he doesn’t get the support. Defensively he was superb, their wingers were blunted all but a couple of times second half. Lucky he’s a defender so I’ll take that as a good performance.
