I thought a good turnout today both teams put the effort in . Defence I’m sure we have enough to choose from O’Conner looked good and Richards-Everton stood out in the second half. Akpan disappointing but first game for the lads and it gave Bowyer plenty to look at.

I think his point is that talking about a player having a 'stinker', in what is basically an early kickabout to get some playing miles in the legs, is a pretty extreme overreaction.

 

I thought Riley had a decent game today. Very attacking style. Should have scored as well.

 

He needs a season long loan does Gibson.

No impact on loan in League Two last season, so Conference would be about right.

He is wasting his time here, he isn't good enough, and it's not about getting chances, it's about being a professional footballer and understanding the game and your own abilities and limitations, all of which he seems clueless about.

Another exasperated kid who just doesn't get why he isn't playing regular football. A sports psychologist might help.

I personally don’t see Robinson playing for City again, or if he does I can’t see him making an impact. Reeves has been out for longer but he’s been in and been training when he can and has the best part of 200 league games behind him. Robinson might be keeping himself fit, but he’s presumably not been playing any football for 11 months. He’s 22 in two months with two dozen games behind him and a contract to the end of the season. If the charges are dropped or his case goes to court and he’s acquitted I wouldn’t be surprised to hear him released by mutual consent.

 

I wouldn't totally count O'Connor out at this stage - the guy did some moronic things last season but overall the whole year was a disaster zone. So many things were just so toxic. I have heard he has been impressive in training (both playing wise and attitude) and I am happy for GB to make a call on this one - I hark back to a cold, difficult game at Wycombe I saw last season and O'Connor really stood up that day (in my eyes).
If GB can move him on I wont be losing sleep but something makes me think there is a footballer in there and perhaps he is the type of character and has a demeanour that needs a bit of stability and positivity around him (which was never there last season bar a few weeks before Xmas)
I know many will shoot this down and say he has burnt all his bridges and it is difficult to argue with this viewpoint - as I say its just a hunch

 

Perhaps because they don't want to leave now that we have a decent manager and a professional setup, instead of last season's amateur hour?

 

As you say we dont know the reason with regards the situation at Aberdeen, I thought when he made his comments in the T&A with regards his team mates it was a mistake, IMO if you are going to make those kind of comments you have to be seen to be consistantly one of the better performers week in week out and unfortunatly he wasn't.
Once we get nearer to the Cambridge home game Bowyer will know which players are up for the challenge and who might not be quite there, I believe O'Connor will be one of the former, lets hope now the slate is wiped clean so are the others who we doubted last season.
