I agree. That's a helluva fee.

But equally Doyle missed plenty for Swindon, probably some easier than that one.
The point is that at Swindon he was getting hatfulls of chances every game so it didn't matter that he missed some. With us he'll likely get a couple of chances per game if he's lucky, and Bowyer will expect him to score both.
I'm sick of hearing Bowyer bemoaning our missed chances. All teams miss chances. But teams that create lots of chances generally score more than those that create few. Rocket science it is not.WIBSEY GAWBER, Boggles, Rogered Tart and 4 others like this. -
I have just seen his little video on Twitter! What a complete bastard! Apparently he has been in GB office every day wanting to leave. It wasn’t that he wasn’t trying for City you understand, is heart and soul wasn’t in it! He would rush into the dressing room after playing wanting to check on Swindon score!! So not only does he humiliate us publicly whilst there, after he permanently leaves us he then broadcasts his lack of heart and soul to the world. FFS apparently we only pay for his limp trying! Not his heart and soul on £6 grand a week, he has a nerve! I am absolute spitting with anger.

The only thing it does is weaken our bench but I'm sure we'll manage for 2 games. -

Doyle scores well done to him.
Anyway mean while we looked the most threatening in front of goal than we have for a long time, that’s all that matters.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...How, BoingBoing, Wakefield Bantam and 3 others like this. -

They discussed this on Radio Leeds on Saturday. Apparently it was a loan where there was a small fee involved (??) but we are still contributing something towards his salary. They didn’t indicate how much. They did say there wasn’t a recall clause in Jan and went on to say that it seemed like one of those situations where a parting of ways was the best for both parties. Doyle never found the form that most us believed and hoped he would with us, whilst we needed the money created by him leaving to sign players in much needed alternative positions than his.
As frustrating as it is seeing him bang in goals for a rival, I just don’t think that would have ever happened for us. He’s going some way to proving the doubters he had a city that he is a quality goal scorer in this divisions. Just hope his goals don't have any impact on our final position at the end of the season.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I just don't think Doyle has it in his heart to play for us,there's obviously still more to the situation than is on the surface...

The best solution, if we can afford it, is to get rid of the pointless loan signing we have up front and bring Doyle back in. As we've seen, utilised properly he'll score goals.Crucian Carp, Faithful Bantam, Fordy117 and 3 others like this. -

On Doyle, and how he’s being used. I’ve had a quick look at some of his goals for Swindon this season. The majority are poachers goals - in and around the 6 yard box and on the end of crosses.
Last season we had no wingers. We basically used him as a target man. In his games for us early this season, he played as a 10, again with no wingers.
It doesn’t look complicated to me. Get him the ball in the box and he’ll score goals. We get lots of crosses into the box - Wood, Connelly getting to the byline, Ismail from the other side. He’s converting the sort of chances that Donaldson and Vaughan have missed.
If we bring him back, I see no reason why he wouldn’t continue to score goals. I think the service we’d provide is decent enough. And it’d derail a promotion rival. If we don’t bring him back, we’re mad.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Brackenrigg, bantam2708, Idlebantam and 3 others like this.
