Well you've certainly covered you back with this post, the very first part of my reply with regards Exeter imploding and pointing out we got to a Wembley final, and you say "Wembley final - almost included it, but didn't feel it was relevant to my point that we got lucky".
Getting as far as we did was the very reason our performances and form dropped off because players and fans alike were possibly too involved with our appearance in the final.
Of course the first season was not great I'd have thought you would have acknowledged I was quoting games once he sorted his squad out, but even then Bowyers had a couple of months last season and all this pre-season to get a far better squad together than Parkinson inherited from Jacko
But back to that season you say we were lucky, we were 4th in the league going very well when we played Arsenal in the 5th round of the Capital One Cup, we drew Aston Villa by the time we'd played the second leg at Villa Park we'd dropped to 9th see a pattern forming here ?.
From the second leg at Villa we'd dropped to 11th before the Swansea final, from the home game against Dagenham & Redbridge to the Exeter away game we did not win a game, more than likely the aftermath of our defeat at Wembley.
Phil Parkinson then got the squad together and read the riot act to them with regards achieving our priority which was getting into league one, from that bollocking after the Exeter game we did not lose another game in 9, now the fact that Exeter imploded helped our cause can't be argued but we still had to make up I believe 14 points up to overtake Exeter and claim 7th place in the league.
Don't have a clue with regards your "Before Parky had things all his own way, he was pretty erratic in terms of team choice and tactics as well" it's hardly unique for a manager to want his say on all things football so yes his reputation with regards his team were the bench mark for him to succeed or fail so quite right he'd want his own way.
Not sure how I've dist Bowyer by making that comment ""Every time I went to a game I believed under Parky we would get a result" I'm disappointment with not merely how we have started but also the poor football on show we have produced nothing better to watch than last season, of course I hope he sorts it sooner than later and in my reply to @Onside@Onside I say any decision about his stewardship at Valley Parade should not be made before Christmas.

I championed the guy I believed and still do that he will get it right, what I don't understand is he would have had a preferred way of playing the game many said he prefers 4-3-3 (I think) so @Fordy117@Fordy117 and a few more have posted.
Gary Bowyer knew before the end of last season who would still be here still contracted to the club from last seasons squad (unless he or they wanted out) so he must have brought players in who he believed could play his formation/system and so far the performances have been less than convincing, lets hope we batter Bolton get a bit of momentum going and play with the ability the majority of this squad posses.

It's just banter mate, Flynn would be a great shout if we were to want a new manager but I believe as with your Phil Parkinson comment Mickey Flynn would want better than league two although we know he has a soft spot for Bradford City.

I suggested he would be a great choice before we appointed GB, I feel he would have kept us up with his passion and knowledge of the game, To late now I guess

As he's done so well at Newport promotion and good Cup runs, would he have a transfer clause written into his contract and would Stefan been happy to pay a fee for a manager.

I doubt he would move sideways from a welsh club he is associated with

Klopp wouldn't have kept that team up last season.

If we were looking for a new manager, I would like to think he would be tempted with an offer from us. Depends how ambitious he is. The potential of a much bigger club with City, should still be an attraction, especially one where he is still fondly remembered by the fanbase
