    As I posted he had good players left by Kamara and had a good budget plus McGods return.
    Where as Phil Parkinson started from scrath had a very poor squad left by the previous managers got them to battle kept us in the football league and went onto better his previous seasons every season after that.
    Jewell did well no doubt and credit to him, it would have been interesting to see what he could have achieved the following season with a decent budget and no interferance from Richmond.

    Not for me. A manager who wants to attack teams and play to our strengths rather than shitting themselves over the opposition would be nice though.

    Agreed.

    In GB's 6 months(?) at the club I'm yet to witness us put in a convincing performance. You'd have thought by now he'd at least have a set pattern of play and a favoured formation but it's almost a mini lottery on a weekly basis whereby we draw numbers for how many defenders and midfielders we'll play that week.

    I find it funny that people kept saying that the last 2 managers (Grayson & Bowyer) are the right managers because they know how to get us out of this league. Your correct they do but not the way you was hoping. If bowyer doesn't get a shift on soon this time next year we will be playing conference. But some will say players where to blame.

    If the manager keeps going as he is I suspect we will be closer to relegation than promotion..... What do you think.?

    Its a good question. When was the last time we actually played well? I though boxing day against Sunderland was half decent with no reward but i'm really scraping the barrel.

    Safer to say he's in the top group rather than the greatest -- besides the other names mentioned above, Trevor Cherry and from our early days, Peter O'Rourke, would deserve to be in the conversation as well.

    It wouldn't upset me to see him back, but I too think he'll find a place in a higher division.
