Yes save Fordy having to start a new thread - he can just resurrect his 'when do we start to question parky' one.

 

PP would get us up from this league with this squad but I’d expect him to bring in......

How on this planet could you say no thanks. He is the greatest manager in our history. To see him walk out again at VP would just be incredible. By the way I'm not saying we should change manager (not just yet anyway).

 

He'll get a club higher up the league ladder than us.

Agree LA and why should he come back? Last time he had a real stroke of luck that kept us in the league. He recognised, where others hadn't, we already had a quick young striker(in brain as well as feet) that all teams in the division could only dream of. He needed the chance to show what he had and pp gave him this.

 

No offence to the guy. I love what he achieved with the club in the past, but it’s like exes, you never go back. Besides he’s probably burnt out after all the carrying on at the knuckle draggers. I respect him but he’s Parky, not the Messiah.

 

I would not go back to Parkinson for fear it would hurt his great reputation.

If Parkinson came in and won 2 in 23, or whatever his worst period was last time, fans would not have the patience and that would be a huge shame.

There is zero chance of Parkinson coming back, first of all he's moved on from managing a mediocre league two team and will get a much better offer than us. Secondly if by some miracle he said he would come here it would cost far too much for us to pay off Bowyer, Drury and the fitness and goalkeeper coach as Parkinson would want his full squad of back room staff in. I'm afraid we are stuck with Bowyer and Drury for quite some time and we must hope they get the tactics and formation right soon.

 

Not sure I can agree with Jewell, even Richmond said that season the teams in the Championship were very much alike and if (as we did) threw some money at it we had a good chance of promotion.
We spent very well but for me the major factor in us having that great season is Jewell inherited a decent squad and the big plus IMO was bringing Stuart back.

 

Given the state of the club when he took over and the financial position through out I think he was

Quite right we don't have a vacancy at this particular time but after today the money Bowyer has spent and the calibre of players he's brought to the club we should be doing better.
Take the Oldham game out of our season so far and we have been less than convincing, he has a lot of work to do to convince most Bradford City fans he can turn our club around with regards the footballing side.

In the Oldham game we were also less than convincing apart from the two strikers.

 

He successfully managed that squad to promotion to the PL. What more could he have done?
