Here "Every time I went to a game I believed under Parky we would get a result" Bowyer has time to sort this squad out but I find it hard to believe with the players he has at his disposal we cant be in the mix come May, unfortunatly on our showings so far this season were miles away.

That is the argument for recognising a manager is not delivering what we want him to do. If this goes on for much longer the fans will revert back to the negativity of last few seasons and they will lose the fan base again. Bowyer has done well in that department but it is already ebbing away. We cannot afford to have a season of mediocracy, poor team selection, poor results, and confidence draining from the squad. That kind of thing once it starts is very difficult to turn around as we have all experienced. The only thing I can think of is bringing in a very good number 2 who can command the respect of the players and Bowyer. It avoids getting rid of the manager, and provides stability. However, we cannot carry on like this.

I thought it hadnt been officially confirmed yet.

Macclesfield could complicate matters, as they face a winding up order on 11 September.
Also reading this morning that Scunny have been losing £50k a week on average for the last 6 years. How long is their owner Peter Swann prepared to continue to underwrite these losses, I wonder.

Further up the chain, Charlton have debts exceeding £60m now, they would be in serious trouble if Duchatelet tries to recoup his investment

Very worrying for any football fan of the above mentioned teams.

Playing football is largely about confidence. Confidence in your own ability, and confidence in your team mates. Confidence comes from knowing your own role, and what others do around you. Look at Match of the Day yesterday. Aguero gets goals, because he gets the ball from his team mates, who don't even need to look up to pass to him. They know his role, and they are confident he is going to be in a position to pass to. Aguero makes those runs, knowing that his midfield are going to put it on a plate for him.

I know comparing us to Man City is very far fetched, but the basics are still the same. Every player in the team has a job, and every player in the team knows their own, and their teammates jobs. Certainly wasn't the case for us yday, and most of that blame, if not all of it, needs to rest on GB.

Spot on Liverpool, Barca the same.

    Even Rochdale!

    Football is a simple game.

To be honest I feel Bowyer not having a decent assistant is the biggest mistake Bradford City Football has made for years! All top managers will tell you that you need a good assistant.

I believe not paying Drury off is a massive mistake also has he highlights the Edin days and the negativity around it which we needed rid off.

Not having a decent number 2 just highlights Bowyer as been stubborn and controlling but he's getting it wrong. HE IS FAILING THIS CLUB! He needs HELP!

At this moment in time there are 11 teams better than us league tables don't lie. How long do we have to get a settled side or is it a case of there's always next week?

Am certain Parky returning is a no go on many levels
He is better than a mid L2 manager and I can't see him working for someone
he ran out on a couple of years ago unfortunately
Waiting to see if we fail to get to the play offs is too late we need promotion this season
10 games/Christmas is also too late we would struggle to make up the ground
I wouldn't want to be in JR shoes telling Mr Rupp that his "further investment" has brought failure to reach the play offs !!!!!!
It could well cause him to think enough is enough and then where would be
GB has had enough games to know his preferred formation/players you can not exclude last season as we were already down when he joined and focus must have been on formulating plans for this season
Hopefully the next couple of games show an upturn in form and we all look back thinking it's been a blip so far but he needs to sort things and quickly before the crowd turn and we have a repeat of last season

For me the midweek game against Bolton should be the game to experiment formations and personal to play that formation, OK only the one game against what will be a scratch side in Bolton but a game that means nothing.

I have to say I totally agree with your thoughts on Drury. I don't know him and he may be a really nice guy but you cant hide the fact that he has been "at the side" of Collins, Hopkin and now GB and we are certainly not improving our league position irrespective of all the good work that has been going on off the pitch.. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Drury has a hand in the strange formations and tactics - I am sure he has and he probably thinks we should be playing like Man City every week. I would love to see GB reunited with McPhillips to reform their previously successful partnership but I have a sad and bad feeling that we just cannot afford to pay off Drury or at least not at the moment.

At this time we should be a settled side. We should know our strengths and build on them but Bowyer chops and changes his formation and tactics so much I think it's starting to confuse the players never mind supporters. He should put out his strongest side against Bolton and say right go for it.

We can afford too. Our owner is worth 120m euros.

Think Bowyer wants all the glory!

Isn't this the man who said, at the end of last season, that he wanted business done early rather than late, so that he had the players that he wanted on the training ground, they all knew each other and so that they would hit the ground running? The man has had ample time to sort out his team, tactics and formations. It does seem that to date, he is failing miserably.

I don't think he does but like bantam in Greece has put when he came in knew who and what was needed the club has backed him as much as possible with players and he is still no nearer getting a settled squad that knows what formation they should be playing.

Yes we have a chairman reportedly worth 120m euros
We also have a chairman who has no interest whatsoever in football and has already put his trust in one abject failure look where that got him
I think his investment this season could well be his last unless things improve and he finally see the light at the end of the tunnel in getting some kind of return on his money.
Or he is using us as a loss maker to offset his tax
This season is make or break not only on the field but off it as well
As you know successful businesses never consolidate they strive for better and he is just not seeing an improvement

I doubt very much a guy like Bowyer would allow his assistant to make vital calls with regards team selection or team formation, he's hardly a rookie manager.
Yes Drury will do stuff on the training ground with the players give his thoughts on how training has gone and maybe Bowyer askes his opinion. Bowyer may ask Drury with regards team selection, otherwise no point in having an assistant if you can't bounce football matters off him.
