    Tell @JonButterfield@JonButterfield this.

Bowyer was employed the end of last season to plan for the start of this and currently he doesn't even know his best formation and we sit in mid table having not had a decent performance all season so far.

Fans are turning on Bowyer & Rhodes. They need to get this right. We need to go up this season!

Time waits for no man and we're wasting time at the minute.

I'm not an apologist for Bowyer I'm as disapointed as the next fan its been poor stuff served up so far but Bowyer is only 6 games into a new season, I dont think there are many if any managers who got all their transfer dealings done in ths first few weeks ( many would still be under contract until late June) to have them all at training the first week back.
Then when they start training they have little niggles that don't allow them to be as intense and may cost them a place Paudie, Ismail and McCartan being examples.

I'm far from happy with the way we are playing but lets get a little realism into the debate were 6 games into a new season is hardly the time to panic, but then as fans thats what we do.

I do understand where you are coming from and would normally be much more cautious before ditching the manager. We brought him in before last season finished do he could plan for this season. Yet here we are 6 games in and still floundering around to find a system style of play that suits us. In conjunction with that he appears to not know his best 11. We should not be here, we have a healthy budget for this level. Plus I don’t like managers who do not take responsibility for the results. The fans can make their own mind up about players, but he needs to shoulder the flack.

I just don’t see the difference from last season to this. We were in 3 points of safety when he arrived with 33 points to play for. He had an easy ride last season due to circumstances, but he was given a healthy budget, time to plan and recruit. A full pre season to sort out what style he wanted to play and recruit. We can’t keep on giving him slack. It isn’t like we have played really well and been unlucky. This is not the players fault, I am not having it.

If only there was period before the season started where you could try out new formations and a first XI.

And I'd suggest we should not be asking for his sacking as some are doing.
If there was a managerial position vacant at Valley Parade and Phil Parkinson was available I'd be delighted to have him back, but once again no guarentees even with the Special Ones return ;).
I belive thats exactly what @Park bantam@Park bantam posted after Bowyers post match interview, it's not the system/formation that loses the game it's players..

The problem with Parkinson is that you'll have a defensive manager trying to get the best out of a squad lopsided with attacking players.

Add in that his preferred formation would be almost impossible to play and it's a recipe for disaster.

Even though I've quoted 10 games I think where we are in league two at Christmas would be a fair assesment. If the club thought our position with all that has gone on and monies invested was not good enough they would possibly change the situation.
    So for me Christmas.

    Really...?

League tables don't lie after 6 games...?

Who would be totally trumped by the real winner! Peter O’Rourke.

He led City to the Second Division championship in 1908. Three years later, O'Rourke clinched the FA Cup with Bradford City in 1911, however in June 1921, due to ill health, O'Rourke retired from the game. He returned to Bradford City in 1928, winning the Third Division North the following year.
Finally after retiring for a second time, O'Rourke returned to Bradford living in Burlington Terrace next to Valley Parade until he died in January 1956 at the age of 82.

    Things I agree with:

Wembley final - almost included it, but didn't feel it was relevant to my point that we got lucky - we did, no matter the circumstances. We ALMOST left it too late.
Parkinson's squad was better than this one, in most (but not all) areas.
I believe you trusted Parky's team over Bowyer's.
I agree the formations are getting a bit ridiculous

Things I would add for fairness and balance:

Parky's team in that first season was pretty useless, and remained useless despite the fact he signed quite a few players (especially if you include loans).
I doubt you trusted Parky's team to get a result prior to the first 18 months of his stewardship, but maybe you did. I know I didn't.
Before Parky had things all his own way, he was pretty erratic in terms of team choice and tactics as well.

What I'm saying is, many of the points you're using pro-Parky took TIME. Bowyer hasn't had that time, and those rambling on about last season literally need to get a grip - he had a long pre-season, and has made a lot of adjustments - however until recently he was saddled with the useless Doyle, the useless Scannell, and remains saddled with several expensive and useless players including Akpan, Riley, McCartan, and Reeves - all on L1 wages, and probably high end L1 wages at that. I would have added AOC, and I'm sure some would have added ROD, but they seem to be playing well at this point in time.

The work is NOT done, the changes are NOT enough, yes he's signed XI players, and if you look at those players, they're GOOD - the forward line is the strongest it's been in a long time, the defence is the best it has been since Parkinson, the midfield needs a lot of work, but the idea Bowyer should have simply got every signing right and improved every single area is fairy tale rubbish, and we were warned as such.

In terms of it taking 5 years to recover from Edin, we are easily ahead of schedule in terms of the playing personnel. We aren't going to finish top 3, and we were never finishing in the top 3. But if we finish 7th, that is an astonishing turnaround, and why people don't grasp that I don't understand. We would have finished 24th last year in this division - if we can finish 7th, that is an outstanding achievement.

With regard to your first paragraph taking into account how we had the distraction of a major cup final and the amount of games we had to play with a small squad I would subtract the word lucky for miracle

No as you say look where it got us....................erm, from a team that could have gone into non-league in Parkinsons first season to a league one side that was very near getting a crack at Championship football who'd want that...........not forgetting a Wembley appearance against Swansea, I believe making history in doing so, and that magnificent result at Stamford Bridge.....quite right @EdwinB@EdwinB who needs long ball.

Even if we had to make a managerial change, theres no way Parky is coming back. He'd get an L1 side at worst.

Number 1 choice for me would be Michael Flynn.
