Seems a little strange that the SNP want to be independent of the UK, not wanting the UK government to have input into much of what the Scot's want, yet they are quite happy to stay in the EU and let the EU make policy for Scotland ?.

What gets me is all these remainer politicians going on about wanting another referendum/peoples vote and then in the next breath they talk about democracy, maybe somebody should explain to them that there was a democratic vote 3 years ago and the brexiteers won.
We should leave now with no deal.

Have you been to Spain recently, or Italy or Greece. It ain't all coming up roses in EU land you know. Scratch the surface anywhere in the EU and there's a LOT of discontent. Visit the towns and villages in Spain where the majority of under 25s have either left or are jobless.

Funny how some people in the UK think the EU social chapter is the saviour. There's tens of millions of Europeans who would far prefer to be here than where they currently are. Oh, I forgot, hundreds of thousands of them already are here. Go figure! Why would they want to leave their EU utopia to come here?

The despicable, contemptuous cretin you have as your avatar is a disgrace. People from up north selling themselves out to the eton schoolboys is a disgrace. All your values are out of whack it seems.

    I agree.

It seems the art of dialogue and proper debate has been lost and everything is us and them. Worrying times.

While it is true that female MPs receive more threats it is also true that male members also receive them and in both cases it is wrong, It was laughable that a female Labour MP was screaming and shouting hysterically calling the prime minister names in a diatribe speech asking HIM to curb his language while doing it in an abusive way and blaming his attitude on the murder of an MP, He quite rightly described what she said as humbug, If anyone should be ashamed of their conduct her and one or two other Labour MPS should also be ashamed using a dead MP in speeches meant to incite .

Here's what the Labour Party have done over the years. This is the Labour of the last 60 - 100 years. The Labour of the last 20 years pre Corbyn, plastic Tories in my opinion, have changed the face of the party. JC is a move back to real Labour. Real socialism. Real positive changes for the majority of the population.

But it isn’t all true is it. Just because someone has written it down into a nice little bit doesn’t make it true

Corbyn is simply unelectable as a future PM. And whilst he stays surrounded by the likes on Andrew Murray, Seamus Milne, Karie Murphy, Len McCluskey, Jon Lansman etc he will remain unelectable. He lacks integrity imo and it still isn't clear where he personally stands on Brexit. The Labour party's doomed ambiguous policy on Brexit with their mixed messages will prove costly for them in the not too distant future. And then it will over for Jezza.

    Any point in replying ?.

She is holding out for a "good" deal you say, stop kidding yourselves the only good deal the Labour party would consider is a deal that revokes Article 50, or a deal that is so watered down it could not be classed as brexit by the 17.4 million who voted leave.

Tarrifs if imposed will be reciprocal and would hit the main players in the EU hard, The vast majority of trade is with Germany, France and Italy, the rest of the EU is a tiny amount of trade, Asia will be quick to make deals and replace the car imports from Germany and other major imports can be easily replaced from other suppliers,
I understand we are the biggest customer of the German car industries (including parts) and tarrifs imposed by the UK and even import restrictions would hit the German economy hard with up to 100,000 jobs at risk, The same applies with France with cars, wines and cheeses and Italy with other food stuffs and cars
If we play hardball they will give in, Its a ploy the EU typically use in negotiations as a bullying tactic using time as a pressure when doing deals, Hold our nerve and we will get a good deal

And after this extension there will be another reason and then another reason, The EU are determined to keep us in and will use any reason they cannot complete the process, Only devout remainers and numpties cannot see that,
Despite what the ones that want us to stay say the EU really fear the consequence of one the worlds biggest and vibrant economies competing on its doorstep

The EU is doomed to failure , they are now breaking 1 of their own core rules " not to interfere in the internal politics of any state " . Just end the negotiations and walk . The EU dont understand the concept of democracy , this is proven time after time after any vote in member states they dont like , vote vote vote till they get the result they want . 50 previous referndums , 49 re-runs till victory , 1 defeat, the UK , they underestimated us once again .

...the view of the otherside of the House wasn’t that rosy - Corbyn, McDonnell, Thornbury, Abbott, Lammy.
Hence we find ourselves where we are at.
