Devine is useless, I'm no akpan fan but at least he showed glimpses of ability last season, whereas I still have no idea what devine actually does.

TBH so far he has far than surpassed my expectations, and I was confident in him from the beginning. He all round attitude and communication has very much endeared himself to us as supporters. He’s cleverly identified what we as a club expect and want to see and seems to so far he getting things right. Naturally, performances and results on the pitch will be the overall measure, however there no doubting that he has returned a positive atmosphere to this club. I never expected it to turn around so quickly, so hope all he gets the backing he deserves from game one of the campaign and lets see where it gets us......Stop hovering to collapse... I'm happy with this. We desperately need stability and an experienced hand.
As we know from bitter experience, we need to start planning for next season ASAP, not in late July.
There is something Parkinsonesque about GB that I like in his demeanor. -

Although not particulary looking forward to relegation, league 2 doesnt bother me as much as some on here. I would rather watch a Parky type team, which I hope Bowyer can bring us, rebuilding in league 2, than watch another misfit shambles of a team in league 1 againChad, Andy10, Morley Bantam and 2 others like this. -

Love this quote from the T&A article.
“I pride myself on having big, physical and strong teams - with the ability to play good football. We have tried to do that here, in a short space of time, but obviously haven’t been able to recruit.”
Bowyer is already preparing for a hectic summer as he looks to rebuild the squad – whatever division they start next season in.
He added: “My mindset will not change and a hell of a lot of work has already gone in ahead of the summer.
“I will be looking to bring some pace, size and physicality to the squad. I am a supporter when the game kicks off and want to watch my team entertain.Stop hovering to collapse... Bowyer's no mug hes a very shrewd and educated man.
It's not taken him long to way up our club and it's shortfalls due to previous managerial decisions that have brought on our present predicament.
He could have taken the money and walked but he has obviously seen and believes that under his style of man management and a recruitment drive that suits him, he can turn our fortunes around
Providing he gets the backing of our board and of course player targets agree to come and play for Bradford City we might eventually enjoy Saturday afternoons again.Brackenrigg, Morley Bantam, Rocket and 1 other person like this. -

He was the one I would have chosen when he initially came on board given his past jobs working with nutters, so I have no reason to change my mind. He should be a safe pair of hands in league two, assuming that’s where we end up. It sounds like he’s no fool and can see the huge limitations of the squad we have. Can’t see him having much money to work with, so hopefully he can guide us to some sort of stability to build on next season; he’ll have his work cut out. How times and expectations have changed in the space of a couple of seasons.

It has been said before but it needs saying again,
No matter what the results are of the final 6 games, we really need to get behind him for next season and trust in his ability to acquire the best squad possible to mount a serious top 3 challenge next season in League Two.
No moaning and calling for his head after one defeat, or a poor performance.
Support and stick with the manager, he has been hired by somebody with the club close at heart. Chopping and changing never brings long term success for anybody, remember that.simons (woking bantam), How, RonnieBrown and 1 other person like this. -

With regards to Colville, he is one of those who have suffered from the stupidity of not having a reserve team playing in a competition. How is he supposed to keep match fit or catch the managers eye if he doesn't play in a competitive match? I appreciate that the manager will watch him in training but is that the same as a match?

this! 100%.
I can't tell you how much it bugs me when people talk complete and utter nonsense like "I don't want to get to the Premier League"
don't talk crap. gonna start wanting us to lose if we end up in the Championship play off places will you? refuse to attend matches if we get back to the PL?
the aim of ANY football club and football supporter should be to be the best. to win. to succeed. to get as high and do aswell as possible.
saying you'd be happy staying in the football league, for whatever reason is horse shit. AND ITS EXACTLY WHAT WE MEAN WHEN WE SAY CITY FANS LACK AMBITION AND ACCEPT MEDIOCRITY.
it might be incredibly unlikely that we'd ever end up back in the top 20 teams in english football, but that doesn't mean I don't want it to happen.Ashton Bantam, The Evidence, Manningham bantam and 1 other person like this.
