I do agree with you're last comment, I'm sure Bowyer is frustrated with his record so far, but like it or not he has to be given next season at least, and I believe he will sign a two year contract maybe this coming week .

I can see a few of these players having relegation clauses to be honest. The likes of O'Donnell Doyle scanell Akpan. Personally I'd rather see the back of the defence, caddis aside. But we'll see.

The most important thing at this stage is just having some frigging clarity, knowing what direction we're actually going in, and sticking with it BEYOND a transfer window.

It won't be easy, and I don't expect us to go up next season, but as long as we see progress.

I like the quote in general but if that means playing players simply because of size then we as supporters could be in for a testing season.

I believe we do need the attributes he's targeting but without the required ability then they mean nothing and I'd certainly prefer a good "little un" over an average "big un" in certain areas.

I don't think we'll see any journeyman cloggers to be honest. If this was a manager like hopkin then yes we would given his style of play but Bowyer wants to play attacking, attractive football which you need good technical players for.

And it doesn't need to be physical everywhere either. A new, strong centre half partnership and left back, plus mellor (who I think will be 1st choice next year) is already a huge upgrade in terms of physicality. Add to that a defensive midfield enforcer and a striker who has a bit of strength (not just a lump of shite) and that'll do it in terms of the strong physical players.
