A point is something, but we need to start picking up the odd unexpected win away from home. Look at Argyle today, i know peterborough aren’t unbeatable but really Burton and Wycombe, 3 points at one would have been a real bonus and not beyond the realms of possibility. We should have a mindset that we can go and win these games, obviously that will come if we can keep unbeaten but throw in the odd ‘southend’ and it starts looking really tough again. Need to follow up with a win really, we need to put another wee run together. Unless we want it to go to the wire.

Went in the Wycombe bar after the game, heard from a trust board member that they ran out of pies (after 40 minutes!) because they were working to an estimate of 300 away fans - ridiculous. O’Conner and Payne were their standouts for us, probably have to agree.

Doyle is the best option we’ve got. Though it might be worth pushing Ball further forward and sticking Butterfield in for Wood.

Once we have a four or five point cushion, I'll stop worrying so much. -

Given the remaining 15 fixtures, if you accept that Portsmouth away and Luton at home are potential zero points, Then the remaining 13 fixtures could yield 25 points with a win at home draw away sequence. Throw in some away defeats then 20 points is still very possible, which could see us to safety.
I think people have to ‘get real’, we are doing better than under the previous regime. As you say with Butterfield and Clarke having time on the training pitch, then the team can get stronger.MyBradford and bantamdave41 like this. -
Would have felt more confident if we had brought in an experienced centre forward, At the moment we have two number 10s playing one of which plays in the centre forward role but is unable to play it well, We lack that physical presence and ability to hold the ball up top when needed,

Real shame the ref didn't see that handball on the line. A goal from the pen and a big chunk of the game against ten men and we'd have won it.
We had the better of the game, I felt. Even during their better spells at the start and end they never really looked very threatening. Our much maligned defence held up well, including your bogeyman O'Connor, and I thought Akpan had another decent game. -
Several reasons for this;
- Pressure on the team, means that it's harder to show true form - meaning there's often a step or two back, i.e. Southend
- We were surrounded by 'decent' teams - I'll be amazed if Bristol Rovers, Oxford or Plymouth get relegated - this meant we were actually closing teams 10 points or more above us
- After the Luton match, we were 9 off Rochdale, 10 off Shrewsbury and 13 off Walsall. Not forgetting we were 7 behind Scunthorpe, Oxford and Gillingham!!.
If we can keep going at the same rate, inevitably we'll pass most of these - bearing in mind though we need three of these to be behind us!!Botswana Bantam and Damo like this. -

I'm not saying we should never hit it long. But with the number of comfortable ball players we now have it ought to be possible, and productive, to mix it up a bit. -

We are no further forward ? Nothing about the players we've "bungled" through the door makes me any more confident of getting anything at Wycombe. Nothing's changed. In Hopkin I don't trust he's shown himself up badly in this window and in his inept decision making in recent games.
