    Personally, I might disagree with aspects of what their Chairman has said to the fans. But at least it comes across as a well meaning and honest view on the club's proposed way forward and a genuine attempt to explain the club's position to its fans.

    Contrast that to our own cliché ridden, say nothing of significance statement from the club's so-called professional communicator. The differences between the two send a strong signal tothe respective fans; one club appears to want to genuinely communicate with its fans in order to explain its position and the other is simply going through the motions.

    Agree Jon. Luton sacked entire management team yesterday to save money. They are 6 points off safety and clearly see what's coming ie season finished and relegated. I don't know for certain if work has started on their new stadium, if it has then another financial drain. This could be the first concrete sign of the trouble ahead that we all know deep down is coming to the game which itself is in denial still right to the top.

    I have no idea where it comes from, but occasionally, very occasionally, he posts a considered, insightful, even compassionate message.....but it gets lost in amongst all the b#ll#cks :grinning:

    There are approximately 4000 professional footballers in England ,then you would have to factor in other ground staff ,officials , media etc . These tests would have to be done on a weekly basis . How could anybody justify this amount of testing for Football matches ?. I hear private capacity would be made available , if this is the case these labs should be used for all not the few. This is only the football aspect , what about Rugby - Cricket - F1 - Tennis etc etc ?, they might take the attitude why prioritise just Football ?. We have to face facts , even though we all love our team and Football in general , it can not and must not return until a credible Vaccine is in place .

    Very confused by that method. Would Liverpool start 25 points ahead of everyone else? Would some teams be on minus?
    Just why? End this season. No one is promoted and no one is relegated. Give Liverpool the trophy if that’s what they really want but get it done

    Its interesting that the noises which seem to be circulating indicate that the 'big 6' are very keen to restart the season, with the rest of the league being less motivated to do so. Money talks, doesn't it? And rumour has it that even Levy may be wobbling at Spurs as he pays heavily incentivized contracts, so stopping the season would save him money on player payouts.

    Nothing to do with the football, or the fans, or morale. It's purely about the finances.

    I agree. Whatever option is pursued, there will be plenty of losers whether clubs or sponsors or broadcasters who feel aggrieved and want to pursue it legally. There are big bucks at stake so it's understandable. I said last month that there will be an enormous bunfight to resolve all of this. And I still believe that's still on the cards. Had somebody at the FA, the PL, the EFL, the PFA, the top flight clubs or even in Govt demonstrated any real leadership qualities rather than retreating into their own corners, 'football' may have come out of this with some credit. As it is, everybody will be a loser in the longer term although some might gain in the short term in return for their many pieces of gold.


    ps Unfortunately for all, there is no force majeure clause in the TV broadcasting contracts to fall back on.
