But that is football isn’t it? What do you remember about football and falling in love with the game? it’s the last minute winners and hugging and celebrating with random people you don’t even know. The chants The banter with mates.

I accept no crowds 12/18 month and if no football clubs go to the wall.

I would rather we get on with it now and iron it out.

He just knows we have a West Ham fan on here so mentions them to get a bite. Pathetic really.

    https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11982637/premier-league-clubs-prepare-for-2020-21-season-behind-closed-doors

It'll be a farce. I don't think the premier league would survive it, not as it is. How many of those fans are going to come back? Football at the highest level is expensive and people will make changes to their lives. Perspectives will change. and the cash cow depends on fans. If not with gate receipts, the whole commercial and TV gravy train is all about spectator access and advertising.
The games will be sh*t too. No intensity. Transfer fees and wages are going to have to come right down, but there'll be a reluctance to accept reality, so they probably won't and the game will finally end up eating itself.

    Nothing to do with that.

West Ham are the club just making noise at them minute and embarrassing themselves as a club.

Even on the West Ham forum fans are embarrassed of Brady and her comments. A thread called Taxi for Brady. So what I am saying isn't pathetic.

    I also mentioned Brighton.

People on here talk about the PL benig greedy well West Ham and Brighton are the teams highlighting that.

Its interesting that the noises which seem to be circulating indicate that the 'big 6' are very keen to restart the season, with the rest of the league being less motivated to do so. Money talks, doesn't it? And rumour has it that even Levy may be wobbling at Spurs as he pays heavily incentivized contracts, so stopping the season would save him money on player payouts.

Nothing to do with the football, or the fans, or morale. It's purely about the finances.

Liverpool, Spurs & Newcastle are highlighting it, trying to take cash for low paid staff, that's greed, and if you can't see that then you're even more bitter than I realised.
I obviously have a different view.

What those three clubs initially did was sickening , not helped at the time by the PFA advising their members to steadfastly refuse a wage cut or referal. But then the premiership and Gordon Taylor are everything i despise about modern football.

West Ham stadium is paid by tax payers

Both Liverpool and Spurs changed their decision.

If Bradford City were scared of Morecombe I would be embarrassed and most West Ham fans are at this moment. Why scared of bloody Watford? Seriously! Acting small time!

Most fans hate Brady and rightly so.. she's a disgrace! Letting your club down. Just a small club in London.

Thats hardly West Hams fault. They took advantage of a situation created by the government. The fact a stadium was built that had to be redeveloped again for football at a cost of hundreds of millions is no fault of West Ham united.

Don't think West Ham can have go at any club Furlough.

It's also after and how they use the stadium now to gain money.

Their own fans hate the owners mate.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/02/fearful-britons-oppose-lifting-lockdown-schools-pubs-restaurants-opinium-poll

The vast majority of the British public don't want the above opening at the moment, I speak to friends and family some in Spain and they are mostly all of the same opinion, no matter how difficult self isolation is they are prepared to go along with it until more information is available with regards what happens once the general public think it's safe to go back out,.
I get that we wont know until we try it but we certainly dont want a second wave because of our relaxation of the situation, what a massive decision it will be for the people making the call.

Where are West Ham having a go? I must have missed it. As for the stadium, thats purely just a good business decision, one which i'd applaud any club for doing. I do agree about the hatred for their owners, all three are in it for their own gain.

    https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/bradford-city/bradford-city-need-oli-mcburnie-windfall-and-stefan-rupp-funding-2841275

Oli McBurnie’s 2019 move to Sheffield United will give Bradford City an extra £1m’s grace as they “fight for their future”, but the club says it is “absolutely inconceivable” owner Stefan Rupp will not have to dip into his own pocket to keep them afloat.
Testing times ahead on how the club will or won't be financed, looks like the £1m we're still owed from the McBurnie deal is a must.

Fordy, this is the start of the end for PL. Those at both ends of opinion are playing into the hands of the top 6 or so who really want a Euro Super League. There will be a bust up and split all because, as Neville says, nobody is bold enough to take responsibility. Football is sleepwalking into oblivion as we know it today.

Not fussed about pubs but I want schools to open and I think they will at Primary level at least.

I don't want the kids of the future having to suffer due to this and when I hear over 70's(not a dig) who are the biggest risk group moaning about having to stay in lockdown for longer I do think we are we bothering with all this. If I was over 70 I wouldn't be going out until a vaccine is found.

If everyone thinks they are superman than let's just crack on and all hope for the best.

Oh I agree. I think the PL will now explode. I see weak leadership from the PL and EFL at the minute and I agree no one is taking no responsibility. In Spain the president of the league just came and said if you don't play you lose points. Rightly of wrongly it's taking responsibility.

I don't understand why the leaders of the PL and EFL haven't just come out and said no matter what they will be promotion and regelation! I don't get it!

Going forward I think the top 6-10 clubs(including Newcastle, Everton, Leicester and Wolves) will break away and want more TV money than the rest.

I think the European super league is closer than ever and I think the PL will be PL 1 and 2.

I think div 1 and 2 clubs are knackered. Non league.

Gary Neville I can't take seriously because we know it's sky and the 750m that they won't give up is the reason we are having these conversations and he won't challenge Sky. He's a coward on the money train.

Looks like your amongst the 1%.
You certainly haven't heard your above comment from over 70s on here most are made of sterner stuff and will do whatever the government advise, because you'll find in the oldies it's an inbuilt reaction, unlike some of the clowns that think its OK to take the family on a BBQ to Malham Cove.
Edit that is not a dig at the younger generation the vast amount are abiding by the governments advice.
