It’s not going to be the same if it does return in the short term. Talk of no relegation form the premier league even if it finishes. What’s the point? It’s only returning to determine the European places. What a waste of time. No marking at corners. No walls for free kicks. No home games. It’s just a mess and a total pointless exercise. Added into the mix a a player could catch the virus and take it home to their family and kill someone means it’s done for now for me. Don’t care about Liverpool or Leeds

Denmark blood donor study of 9458 people finds Covid-19 mortality rate if infected at 0.08% for this under 70s cohort of presumably healthier people. For context 0.08% is about the same as a UK male of age 35 dying from all causes each year, and UK male suicide rates (all age) are about 0.02% per year.

This blood donor study consistent with other studies in Denmark giving overall mortality rates (including old and compromised) of 0.25-0.6% but is lower than most other non-blood study estimates. It indicates a significantly lower mortality rate than previously thought for young healthy people with no comorbidities (other contributing conditions).

    https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.24.20075291v1

If it is 0.08% for healthy under 70s, and comparing to other Covid-19 distributions, I would estimate it will be much lower for footballers under 35 at maybe 0.02%. So a footballer's chance of dying from Covid-19 IF HE GETS INFECTED is maybe around the same as dying from suicide and likely 1/4 of his likelihood of dying from all other conditions combined before Covid-19 appeared. Please note that this takes no account of risk in those to whom he might pass on the infection, which also needs to be considered, hence quarantine rules.

Edit - not sure of the initial case fatality rate means for the blood donors or the general population. If the latter, it might be even lower for a healthier blood donor cohort, in which case it will be even lower for footballers, too. Either way, the risk to footballers looks extemely low for the simple reason they are young and healthy and it is not doing much to young healthy people, with very rare exceptions.

Teams like West Ham a disgrace. They're the problem.

I agree that it would be utter pointless football to come back if no relegation..

The other points you added will still be here next season.

    Pathetic jibe yet again.
I'm assuming that if BCAFC ever got back to the PL you'd expect them to fight to keep in it.
What is disgraceful about wanting to stay up?
BTW no one is holding their breath for a reply

Because that's why talk of no relegation.

Small time clubs like West Ham and Brighton moaning all the time.

West Ham are currently not in the bottom 3 and Villa, Watford and Norwich are being respectful to the game but you lot running at the s@n paper and moaning.

Your club is do small time that it doesn't even believe in itself to stay up.

If Bradford were carrying on like West Ham currently I would be embarrassed. Trying to take advantage of people dying to stay in the PL makes me sick.

I don’t blame them. Why would neutral grounds be a good idea for anyone?

It's for the good of the country.

It's poor excuse. It's 11 v 11, no fans. It's the fans that make the difference. Don't think you get that?

Why they can't play at neutral grounds?

    It's a lame excuse.

Why you on the forum? The same things will apply when Bradford City play.

That's your opinion. To some they will want to watch any sport.

Nothing changes next season if it starts. So, it is what it, it is.

Parish makes me laugh. It’s like the premier league is doing us all a favour with the tax and money paid to lower leagues. It would be nothing without the English pyramid as a whole and they seem to forget that when they get in that bubble of that league. England is unique for the competitiveness right down to league two and below in some cases. The premier league are talking and acting like we owe them a huge debt. Pull the other one, it’s got bells on it

Oh really be acceptable for Plymouth owner to say:

Simon Hallett, the chairman of Plymouth Argyle in League Two, said: “We do not want to play behind closed doors and believe that a resumption of football should not take place until it is safe for crowds to come and watch.

Risking clubs for next 12/18 with his own agenda?
