Our lack of pace in any areas/out wide and pedestrian nature of our play against Rochdale was something that stood out for me. There are obviously other short-comings as well.

I don’t go much any more obviously, but I feel no connection / bond with this team, i know there are individual players that have done ok, but I wonder if this is felt by other supporters than go regularly? It’s just a shell of a squad, no leadership and maybr not the stomach for the battle.

I felt it most against Coventry. Who had pace to burn in Hiwula and Chaplin I think it was.

We just couldn’t cope with it.

But pace going the other way we have no one too to unlock a defence

Hudders, in truth you are probably right - but I did say non of this can be an excuse for how poor we are, on this we are in total agreement!

I agree @Keefly Bantam@Keefly Bantam - Even with a complete and fully fit squad our 'TEAM' has more leaks than a sieve, owing to poor and unfinished recruitment.

However - Collins managed to blag two Wins, before injuries really took their toll. So there is something in our squad, it's more a case of Hopkin having the luxury of picking the same team twice.

It reminds me of watching my local Sunday pub team, years ago............. They all got so pissed on Saturday, you never knew which 11 players would turn up. That is a continual lose every game recipe. :(

Our lack of pace has been a problem for years but even yesterday against a slow Pompey side you have to question why we didn't play a winger.

For me Hopkin is a little clueless. No worse than Collins at this moment - FACT!

Hopkin's record so far here, suggests he is actually worse than Collins

As I stated in another thread ........ Against Aldershot .................... Play the young, eager, energetic kids upfront, and be as solid as possible at the back. Midfield ? ........ 'Feck nose' ! Whoever we have available, I suppose.

There is a world of difference between 'excuses' and 'reasons'. Bully boy Bosses exploit this every single day.

True but maybe Hopkin does both.

Not improve his players or getting the best out them that's that's for sure.

We look unorganised and toothless under him. We'll go down unless Hopkin can improve his management skills.

Seedorf was like a breath of fresh air running at them and for the first time in the game the defence looked worried, Needs more game time.

Well let’s not get into the habit of sacking managers. We have 4 this year not one of them have been able to turn our fortunes, so for better or worse he has to stay warts and all. He is a gutsy manager and we are going to need that and hopefully that ethic can be passed on,

The LAST thing we need at the moment is another sacking and another manager, We need now some consistency and to start to build confidence in the players which understandably we are short of at the moment,
Blame Edin for the mess we are in but get behind the manager and players as it is the ONLY way we will get out of trouble and avoid relegation.

The following extract post match in the local Portsmouth rag. Just being magnanimous in victory or is he seeing something we don't !.

The Portsmouth assistant boss (John Gallen) was delighted the Blues recorded a seventh victory on the road this term. Gallen said: 'There were a few chances at the end but to come away from home and not to expect the other team not to have any opportunities would be very naive. 'I understand it was late on in the game and a free-kick right at the death. ‘I think overall to come away from home, I understand people look at the league table, but it's wrong because Bradford have got a very strong squad. 'They've got a squad not designed to be where it is and I think they'll move up the league pretty soon. 'We're absolutely delighted to win and we understand there were a few chances at the end.

Get Pep in, Klopp, Sir Alex, slag him off because he’s forced to play crap players he hasn’t signed in an unbalanced starting 11 with no one on the bench as an alternative. Sack him after a few weeks and moan we’re not getting anywhere. Repeat.

I feel just the same, in another thread I called it a "Phantom" Bradford City team, that's what it is.

I don't a see any point at all in sacking Hopkin, it's garbage squad that can only produce a garbage team, it is what it is, I don't see any positive reason to complicate it or blame share.

When compiling a team, cohesion and chemistry are paramount in enabling a set of skill full players to gel. Obvious now that our assembled squad lack both traits and reflect poor choice and judgement all round.

I agree in the fact that a player like Doyle can score 10 plus goals by December only last year and look quality but now doesn't get a sniff. I would say that isn't using your players skills and trying to mould them into what he wants which they never will be.
For the sake of the club he needs to adapt his managerial style for the team until he can get his own in.

But you were the one supporting Edin when it's crystal clear him and Rupp were cutting wages then buying rubbish players.

However, do you honestly feel that with the squad we have that we should be bottom?

I don't and currently i don't see Hopkin getting the best out of our squad.

Hopkin has been a poor manager so far!
