When do we start to question Hopkin?

All four options are screamingly bad.

It's either them or convince Fordy and Park to form a coaching duo.

Tbf they'd be like Clough and Taylor compared to what we've had this season.

Hopkin is not doing a good job, by any stretch, but we're stuck between a rock and a hard place - we can't sack him because there's no body to replace him with. no body would come. we'll just have to hope Hopkin becomes competent all of a sudden.

 

Spot on.. I’m sick of people saying that its not his fault and they aren’t his players. How many managers get the time and money to build a new squad every time they go to a new club.. Its pure fantasy. It would take 4 or 5 windows to replace the whole squad. How many managers get that amount of time?

We have players to win games.. Like I have said previously.. Doyle, Ball, Payne and Scannell would walk into nearly every league one team.

We have in the middle of the park, Akpan, Wright, the 2 O’Brien’s, Colville.. that’s 5 central midfielders. Why would be bring in anymore.

What we really need is a new cb to partner O'Connor or McGowan and two wingers.. We cannot expect to see much more than that in Jan imo.

Hopkin needs to pick a team and stick with it, and it’s the same with his formations.

At any other club he would have been sacked by now and ive just seen that Wimbledon and Shrewsbury have today sacked their managers. I’d put my last pound on the fact that their new managers pick up more points than David Hopkin has in the same amount of games.

Shrewsbury and Wimbledon must seem a more attractive prospect than us at the minute we are in a massive downward spiral with not much hope of getting out of it this season We need 3 major signings in January to get us out of this mess Harry Houdini David Copperfield and David Blaine
In answer to the opening post we should have started questioning DH the day he took the job on surely he did his research

 

Defence is criminal and letting us down.

Central midfield he hasn’t been able to pick any of those consistently atpart from O’Brien and he’s a young lad who is performing exceptionally.

The rest have only just returned in the main. No wingers in the side with scannell injured. Poor defence. And a central midfield who he has not been able to pick up until this last week. So that’s why he can’t pick a consistent side and “stick with it”

Also Doyle is the only experienced forward at the club. Which other side in the football league only have one experienced forward to call on?

He can do better and I’m sure he knows that but he’s our 4th manager this calendar year. Time we realised sacking people doesn’t equal instant results

 

Is that why they are above us in the table ?.

 

Agree managers now a days very rarely get time to build a squad, just shows you the days of Julian & Mark giving Phil Parkinson the time to pull the poor form around are well and truly gone.
