It is initially 3 years with options for the club to renew in the summer of 2025 according to the club site. As someone has said they must have high hopes and my bet …a replacement for Vernam?

I agree but last season injuries cost us a lot of points Hughes was alluding to it the other week we need better players to come in when we have injuries and to increase competition for first team places that’s why I hope he is not a replacement for Vernham rather competition

I don't get the negative thoughts on Vernam not signing. Why would he go elsewhere for £200 a week more when he can stay here and be developed by world superstar mark Hughes. Seriously. Vernam will sign, as will Sutton, watt & hendrie. The only one I can see leaving is poc

It’s not “negative” thoughts , it’s being realistic. Either he goes and we have ready made back up signed or he stays and has to play well to keep his place. Either way it’s great business.

He's staying Kev. There's no rush for him to sign. He's been busy watching the videos Hughes gave him of his best goals to learn for next year

If it had been Christmas nobody would have been bothered. Like a few others Vernham was inconsistent but came good at the end hopefully Eisa who has a good record can fill in with any new signings

I'd rather keep Vernam based off of his end of season form, but I wasn't overly enamoured with him at the beginning - his finishing was awful.

If we could keep Vernam and Eisa, that's good, because we probably wouldn't need another signing - but if Vernam leaves, as long as he isn't in our division, then it is what it is.

I'd be more upset if Paudie left.

From what I have heard he still resides in Grimsby. Lincoln have made an offer.

Journey times halved and playing at a higher level. Doesnt look good does it.

He said he was going to do that when he joined us. Maybe he was lying about that or changed his mind, or he did move closer but it didn't work out. Or perhaps what Sergio has heard is incorrect and he moved and continues to live in the area - who knows?

I love how people know what's right for folk they've never met. Only people who know what's best for themselves is themselves. If a move closer to home is deemed to be beneficial then that is the right choice.

Yes Sergio, I'm sure you're a very responsible parent, but can you please explain if that's the case, why people make such a fuss about the few (very few) players who play for their local team throughout their career, even at our level.
