How did we play 2 poor matches granted we lost at Exeter with a much weakened team the two matches before that was a 3-1 away win at Southend and a 2-1 win over barow that’s 3 wins out of 4 9 matches out of 10 unbeaten including a draw at the league leaders Cambridge and a win at Tranmere. These two have done more than is needed to give them the job until at least the end of season.

Truman was hardly likely to say that they weren't bothered whether they got the job or not, was he? Of course he would say they want it, shows they are ambitious. Isn't everyone at their age?
Can't see what all the fuss is about really, the present set up suits all parties, they haven't really got time to be sitting down discussing minute details of contracts in the next few weeks with the playing schedule as it is and if they keep taking the team upwards it strengthens their hand when they do sit down to negotiate.

One year rolling contract would be best for the club,

I'm hoping that when we do get round to making their roles permanent, that we see them as a long term option and don't dump them after their first bad run. Teams that give their managers time to build tend to do well.

I agree, but it's more important that we have structures in place that don't fall apart based on who the manager/head coach is (or are?) the reality is that long term managers are very rare at this level.

A rolling contact could be incentivised based on progression means they wouldn't be too expensive to sack, and they couldn't just walk away without compensation if they do well and attract attention. Chris Wilder was always on rolling contracts I believe, I think it would work well in our position, if their market value increases nothing prevents us matching it.

In a nutshell. Parky built a team with character and backbone. McCall embellished it with A more attacking philosophy. Rahic took a wrecking ball to 7 years of bantam progressivism through arrogance and we have been recovering pretty much since.
For the first time Since we appear to have a Cohesive plan On and off the field. Early days still but optimistic for longer term improvement for the first time in years.

Ryan has said there is no rush and T&S are onboard with that, we have to put our faith in Ryan he's got most calls right so far, but I do agree they need acknowledgement for what they have achieved since taking over and I dont understand why they have not been offered the jobs permanently.

I agree its a football forum where posters gave their opinions on what might be happening generally, I'd think within the circles of "need to know" both T& S knew the situation they were working under.
I dont get this reference to I'm right your wrong, I'm personally delight Ryan with Stefans blessing have brought forward the full time appointment of these two.
I'm sure there would have been talks going on with regards their wage demands length of contracts etc, I'd think they are both over the moon with this news but listening to Ryans and the players comments about these two getting the football side right was their primary concern.

You can really feel the surge of positivity flowing through the Club. For once both Management and the players are heading in the same direction and this makes us stronger on and off the field. T&S are turning heads through their brand of managing and it's great that we are making headlines for the right reasons once again. The feeling of expectation has returned and it's a wonderful lift for us all.

So, looking at T&S since being given interim job and a cliche checklist.

Come up with a game plan ✓
    Get a shape ✓
Get the players to buy in ✓
Handle going behind in a game ✓
Respond to losing a game ✓
    Win "ugly" ✓
    And almost as important,
get the fans back on board ✓

To be honest, these lads have done pretty much the impossible. Long may it last.

That's yours and my expectations Fordy and to be honest I think Sparks will have told T&S, albeit privately, that the club expects that as well.

I would give them that contract. They've changed things totally around and seem to be working in a likeminded manner with Sparks. I wouldn't chance an old skool manager who's been around the block too many times anymore , they both know the club and have got fresh ideas that has got the team gelling.

Cobblers. Sparks was totally committed to the T& S team. They're his baby. It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. I have every confidence the correct decision will be made imminently.

I think it's something the club need to start looking at but I would hope that Rahic isn't involved.
