It doesn't appear to have confused them so far!

 

Contrary to popular opinion, there aren't many 'knee jerk' posters on here. No more so than anywhere else, anyway. Most fans who've been critical over the last few years have done it on a very reasoned basis. We've been crying out for this sort of direction and now that we have it, it needs to be backed and it needs a degree of patience. The fact that we now have a CEO openly talking about ambition and not settling for mediocrity - and backing those words through the right actions, is a breath of fresh air.

Congratulations to Mark and Conor on their promotion to permanent joint manager roles. Thoroughly deserved and glad it's all sorted.

I wish them both the very best and hopefully a long reign at the
helm.

I am sure they have the backing of the vast majority of fans, it's just a shame fans not allowed in Valley Parade for a while to welcome them

 

10 games in, 1 defeat and playing some good football. The naysayers quote various reasons, but at what time do we actually admit that these lads look like they know their stuff. If any experienced manager had come in and had this run we'd be rightly exclaiming the club had made a great choice, yet because of their lack of experience some still question their permanent appointment.
We really do need to get rid of this interim tag they are still saddled with.

 

Note the words of Sparks, we will never accept mediocrity. Yeah have a good read because these words was brought up on here time after time yet darent be muttered by many on here, the ones who did mention it were derided for their supposed negativity. At least we now have a CEO who admits that words like ambition and mediocrity are at the forefront of what we do and don't want.

 

Prefer mendez gomes on his own

 

We've got to be getting to the point now where they've made it impossible not to give them the job. If the results of the last 10 matches or so were overseen by a new perm manager there'd be lads offering them their wives and girlfriends for the night. The team is playing well and look together, the fan base is a happy camp again and it feels like we have finally turned a corner from the doom and gloom of the last few years.

Sparks made the right call being patient and seeing what happened but at some point Trueman and Sellars are going to start wondering what more they have to do. Time to give them the job and let them have a go team and fans are firmly behind if their good anough they're old enough as the saying goes.

 

Fully deserved.

The contract length is right and lets keep going in the right direction which is UP!

 

It will be interesting to see how they handle a couple of bad results.

 

They should get the job permanently now for me, if we had appointed an experienced manager and they had delivered these results we would be hailing them as a saviour.

 

Notable promotions in my lifetime were achieved with rookie managers. McFarland, Cherry, Kamara and Jewell

Well if there ever was a time some people deserved a promotion then these totally justified it.
Well done T&S onwards and upwards.

 

Congratulations to both, fully deserved! Let's hope the momentum continues, but these fellas have been a breath of fresh air. Onwards and upwards!

 

The last 3 games have nailed it for me. We've seen a positive response to a defeat, we've seen positive responses during games when in a losing position, we've seen T&S show they can affect games by making tactical changes to address challenges within games too, we've seen them navigate difficult calls over a couple of positions (Cook starting ahead of Rowe, AOC moving to right Back) and we're seeing more and more evidence that with better players they're able to generate a better and more controlled, effective and attacking way of playing.

Job done, and perfect timing as far as I'm concerned.
