Trueman and Sellars - permanent deal

Aye, 2024 might have to be a season of consolidation.

 

Trueman and Sellars sounds great let’s go for it. They are turning things around with a positive start that is very impressive and a good blend of youth and experience. Give them an incentive until the end of the season then hopefully a full time contract.

 

I demand equality for scott sellars and if they get the job jointly, then as part of the job description it becomes compulsory to rotate the names. Home matches must be Sellars & Trueman and away matches Trueman & Sellars. Drury can have the close season.

 

And to continue the shop stewardy theme, I hope they are getting paid properly.

 

They should get the job permanently now for me, if we had appointed an experienced manager and they had delivered these results we would be hailing them as a saviour.

 

I get the impression there is no rush by either party...

 

Don't try fix what isn't broken

 

If they get DMH off the books by 11pm Monday, and manage to get radio leeds to drop kiwomya I would give them a five year deal as a reward.

What they have done is amazing really. So glad we didn't appoint a Billy big boots like sol Campbell

 

I hope Sparks isn't too complacent about Trueman and Sellars being happy to continue as interim managers. What if a club like Port Vale, who are still looking for a manager, approach them, or a club higher up the ladder approach them for a role. I heard one of the national radio stations talking about them this evening, and they were amazed they hadnt been appointed permanently yet.

 

Aha if we had lost today which we could have against a team that played very well there would have been a very different mood on here. Read the half time comments. They have done a great job and transformed our fortunes let’s get this transfer window out the way and then plan for the future with the two of them in the forefront of it

 

It can’t be underestimated what these two have achieved, eighteen points from eight games, five of them away from home. When you think of the shambles that took place before with goals conceded for fun it is remarkable with virtually the same players. It’s not fair to say if it isn’t broke don’t change it, they need security of a reasonable length contract now.

 

There was speculation on t'radio that Trueman and Sellars may have been given the job until the end of the season, but in order to ward off undue pressure the statement has not been made to the public.

I don't believe that for a second. I think Sparks needs to either poop or get off the pot to quote an Americanism. Give them the job, or give it to someone else.

If Trueman and Sellars are worried about a little bit of pressure affecting their or the team's performances in empty stadiums, they need to resign right now regardless of our form because they're not up to it. Which, before anyone jumps in, is exactly why I don't believe that can possibly be true.

 

These guys are doing brilliant. We should give them a deal to the end of the season. Football seems in the dark ages with these long contracts that invariably mean nothing,

 

What a load of bollocks, just let everyone get on with their job, sit back & enjoy the ride while thinks are going ok, Christ we’d have given anything to be in this position 2 months ago with this feel good factor around again. Sparks happy, trueman & sellers happy. Players happy, supporters, mostly happy

There's no way anyone takes over as manager of a football club and is a bit worried about what people might say about a contract extension.

I think we're all on the same page. But if that IS the case, time for someone with a backbone.
